ive just checked the site for terms and conditions:
paragraph 2, point 3:
Where you have used a promotional code to obtain a discount off the price of your order, acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the code has been issued to you personally. In the event that the code has not been issued to you for your personal use, the price of the order will be adjusted notwithstanding any email confirmation which you receive.
but i cant remember confirming anywhere that i agreed to the terms and conditions?
From these terms and conditions, I come to the understanding that....
'acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the code has been issued to you personally'....'In the event that the code has not been issued to you for your personal use, the price of the order will be adjusted notwithstanding any email confirmation which you receive' ...
they will adjust the order to their discretion - 'before' they dispatch the order. i.e. they check whether you are entitled to the codes etc.
Dispatching the order (in my understanding), shows that they have accepted the order (with the codes).
If they could adjust the order afterwards, then whats stopping companies like amazon or tesco charging a different price a few days/weeks down the line after you complete your order?
Thats why I hate all these terms and conditions - I hardly ever understand the true meaning of what they say. Its open to interpretation.

well, i have just received my email telling me to fone them, so i spose i should fone them...
maybe i should write out things to say before hand, for possible questions they might ask... just to be prepared.0 -
you should have just asked your parents/siblings to order it in one of their names and put in their info. then you wouldnt be lying. you can still pay with your own card. im sure they can check your age through your card or something. If they phone you to confirm I wouldn't continue to lie about it.. you may open yourself up to fraud charges0

they sent me barney brush your teeth for £8 and then phoned me up to say that there was a mistake i have since had to switch them £10
it was still a cheap present for my daughter for christmasSorry no links in signatures by site rules - Forum Team 20 -
Just tell your credit card company to cancel the payment if they charge you extra after you have received your item. Personally if they asked me for the extra money back id just say no and politely hang up.
BTW im still waiting for my order of the ps2 game PES4, its been 7days :-/

RTi,
If they owe you money you are entitled to it! >:( Don't let them get away with it. So it might only be £5, but thats five pounds that you could use.
Please send it in writing - if you don't you are letting them get away with stealing!
Good Luck
Rxr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
the only thing is that they may then demand the money back from the vouchers that i used for previous orders... which they didnt send to me personally.. im not sure what to do ..
