Gosh, some of you are getting v.close to your deposit targets. I've a year or so to reach my target, depends on how house prices are though in a years time.

First of all congratulations Mclaren32 on your engagement. :j:j

Secondly I have added another £30 to my house savings fund :D

Thirdly - happytails, keep your chin up, I've got at least another 3 years of savings to go before I contemplate even viewing houses, and I know it sounds ages away but as I have said previously, the last 3 years for me have flown in and I'm praying the next 3 will do the same!! :)

Hi everyone! I'm a bit late on this one, but congrats on the engagement!

I've managed to add another £200 to the savings over the last week or so, but there probably won't be a lot more going in over the rest of the month though.

  • Hey everyone I am a long term lurker but thought I would finally join in if thats ok. Me and my OH are saving for a deposit have about 12K already, target is 20K plus 5K for moving costs. At the moment we are saving about £600 per month (provided nothing else goes wrong) but at the end of July all being well I should get a pay increase and we will be able to save £1500 to £2000 per month. We hope to buy a house around Dec-Mar time, unfortunately I am obsessed with rightmove and keep seeing houses that we just HAVE to have now so am a little impatient.

I agree!! I've banned myself from looking on there now, we only moved in April and I'm already obsessed again! My OH would kill me if I asked to move again!
