Please be aware of anything that mitchaa says. Last week he had over two hundred posts, however as most of them were defamatory to various groups he deleted them all (except the few that he could not because he had started the threads).

    Definite big old troll.

:rotfl: How old are you and how is your long running battle with myself helping the O.P:rolleyes: (200, never. It was more closer to 144, exact actually, of which about half of them were deleted in the house price crash thread when it got binned)

You obviously need to get out more or shall i dare say it, get a job as 7780+ posts suggests you in fact spend all day, every day, trolling this forum. You need to get a life, my friend.

if you want to discuss things further, the PM system is available instead of you trolling threads looking for my whereabouts:D

You love me really, and i obviousy brighten up your day;)

Question to the O.P still stands......Do you not receive any form of carers allowance?

The OP has answered the question TWICE. They earn too much to receive CA.

(I think troll is quite a polite word compared to what some people on the House Prices board called you!)
    Gone ... or have I?

If thats the case ref carers allowance, all ill say is all the best. It must be hard looking after and caring for a disabled adult.

I do understand where the OP is coming from. And yes he does have extra needs and do understand about losing the money.

My husband has a stroke in 2006 and we lost half our income in a few seconds and even with his benefits between us we get a got less than the national average wage. And we get no help as we have savings and bought our own house.

The OP is not the only person in the position there will be hundreds if not thousands of families who will be struggling once there children turn 18 and they no longer get CTC etc. But that is a fact of life like or not.

Does he get both DLA care and Mobility if not then make sure he is claiming both. IB is ok but does not give you passport benefits such as free scripts but may be able to claim due to low income.

I am afraid even though he is disabled your son is now classed as an adult so you assessed on benefits as an adult which means working min 30 a week to get WTC etc.

    All the best.

    Yours

    Calley

Those in need of constant care are well looked after by the state, i dont think anyone can argue or whinge about that.

I think most people with a disabled person in their family (like me) might have an issue with that statement as it is likely to be contrary to their experience.

Can you elaborate/expand on your post as to why you think this?

Firstly, read the OP's posts properly. She ha already answered re carers allowance.

DMG is right, I remember several posts of yours which are no longer showing so you've obviously been deleting your comments or the mods found them to be outside the board rules.

If memory serves me right, your ex claims IS and fails to mention the cash in hand you're giving her and you have advised several others in the past to do the same. So its ok for you to deceive the system but criticise those who genuinely need help - pot, kettle, black springs to mind.

DMG has a high post count but at least they are genuine posts helping or advising people which is more than can be said for some of yours. Maybe its time you found somewhere else to play.

OP, make sure you're son claims what he can and the other boards on this site may help re budgeting etc.

Can you elaborate/expand on your post as to why you think this?

I was referring to the post made by conor (Post 18 i think)

The O.P was receiving over £800 worth of childrens benefits + IB and DLA for her son. No mention of housing, council tax etc but this all amounts up to a serious amount of cash, hence why i said the state looks after those in need very well.

Is there anything wrong with that? I believe the government do a fantastic job supporting those in need.

Not for 1 minute am i complaining, that is what the benefits system is there for, people in need and obviously the O.P does need financial help caring for a disabled child/adult and all the best to her.

When you count up how much someone can receive in benefits per year including housing, council tax benefit and the benefits listed above. I stand by my original point....The state do look after those in need well.

For instance, i pay around £1200 per month for my home and council tax, people on benefits would get it for nothing. That's just the way it is :)
In that case then, you're even more bored and silly than I thought!

    Good for you :)

Gone a bit off topic now dont you think? Original posters question has nothing to do with any of this drivel.
