Hi I am travelling to greece on 11th July, I have booked my holiday through first choice (got a very good deal surprisingly, even compared to internet prices!) anyway I digress.
First choice have offered commission free exchange money and to price match any other exchange rates.
Anyone know where I can find the most up to date exchange rates and best ones so I can go into their office tomorrow and say i want 700 quids worth of euros and xxxx exchange rate is ............ ??
Thanks

You will find the most up to date rates in their rival's windows tomorrow. You won't find an accurate account of over the counter rates online.0 -

I don't know if I am being a bit cynical here, but I think all these news releases are being timed.
A week pound helps exporters, and as we are currently in a recession, business has slowed, with all businesses need as many orders as they can get.
We seem to get a 'bad news' story issued on almost a weekly basis, so that as soon as the pound shows any sign of improving strength - it drops straight back down. Last week Mervyn King saying the governmnet needed to sort out a debt repayment plan, this week the UK economy retraction (1st quarter).
Are all these releases being timed to keep the pound low? And what else do we have coming up?0 -

haha, no conspiracy theory i'm afraid
most of these releases are scheduled months in advance, on a set day for each monthPlease take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk
