there were some comments from a Bank of England economists that didn't sit too well with GBP. Got sold off against USD and EUR as well as other currencies.
There is also a refi auction tomorrow in Euro. which is also affecting the rate in -ve way for GBP. I'll see if I can dig out some official info.
It will bounce back though.

[09:20 EUR/GBP: 0.8565 Offers Tested as Ascent Continues] London, June 23.
EUR/GBP has just tested 0.8565 offers as the cross continues to benefit from ECB 1-year refi auction-related buzz (the result of the auction is due at 09:15GMT tomorrow).
BoE Chief Economist Spencer Dale"s Reuters-reported comment that "buying gilts from foreign investors can have beneficial impact through weaker FX rate", as he defended the effectiveness of QE (<TGM42331>), has also helped to buoy EUR/GBP. 0.8476-0.8508 was today"s Asian session range. 0.8400 was yesterday"s six-month low. Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

quick question guys? what rate do you get if you get money out abroad using a Nationwide card in a bank's ATM?
we are off to Greece on Sunday and was wondering this, also where is the best rate on the high street to get a small amount of Euro's to 'tide' us over while we find a ATM?
Thanks in advance.0
