  • Exchange rates: We generally use M&S (in York) as their currency rates are always amongst the best and there is no lower limit. Change £ cash unless you know your card will not charge.
Another hint- when you come back, don't change any spare money back unless you know you are going to get the same rate you paid for it, in most change agencies you will lose at least 5% sometimes much more. Either save it for the next time you go or sell it to a friend who is going to the same currency area, agree to split the difference between the buy/sell price and you both gain.

I go on holiday in 4 weeks time - Does this company charge commission? How quick are they at sending money onto me?

They only charge for sums below £300 as per my last post and they deliver on the date requested and agreed with them. They don't like to leave delivery (Special delivery) until the last minute

I am not sure if it has been mentioned, but a company who has been trading for years in Scandinavia has opened offices in London and offer very competative rates. Forex has an office on Baker Street in London. There's no commission on the money you buy from them and with a recipt you should be able to sell back for the same rate (a £3 charge without recipt). They do compare favourably with M&S - todays exchange rate for euro is on M&S 1.1166 and at Forex is 1.15, so well worth a visit if you are in London.
