I've been told Lloyds TSB are trading at 1.1256 today but as I bank with them, there is no charge and the same applies when I come back if I want to change them back to Sterling.
What do you think - go for it?
nah, they are ripping you off !!
no fee? bully for them - they are only making nearly 6 pips on where the interbank is trading
how do they sleep at night??Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

I'm going away at the beginning of July but every one I've checked online; once the delivery is added on, it's pretty much a case of I might as well use the bank or Post Office.
I've just seen the Post Office are trading at 1.1425 which is better. I'll only be changing around £150 now, as I'll be changing more 2 or 3 days before I fly, as that's when I get paid.0 -
Try Thomas Exchange.
They are selling at 1.16. Yes, delivery is £5, but for me, even with the delivery it was better than the next one!0 -

If I change £150 that means @ 1.16 I'll get 174 euros for £155 (£5 delivery).
Using the local PO I'll get 171 euros for £150 without delivery.
It appears to me that using the online method is only worth it if you are changing a lot of money.0 -

For a smaller amount yes. You are right.
Look around first or go into exchanges and ask what you can get. You may just find a better rate!0 -
I tried Thompson Exchange but theirs is 1.115
It looks like the Post Office it is then.0 -

That must be just their online rate. I called the local one and the lady on the phone told me it's 1.115.0 -
