I go away on holiday in July and planning on getting some money changed this week.
Would you recommend I use the local Post Office or use my Lloyds bank?
personally, and i know its a bit radical and not really the norm, but i would use the one that offers the best rate......;)Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

I've been advised to open a Nationwide account; put money in and then use my card abroad.0

That's what I have been doing for years and have always received the best possible exchange rate when withdrawing local currency.I've been advised to open a Nationwide account; put money in and then use my card abroad.
If, however, you decide to buy currency in the UK, remember that using your LTSB Debit Card to purchase foreign currency from anywhere other than LTSB will cost you an additional fee.0 -

Hi all,
I've got a nationwide Flex Account (as i have an e-bond)... although when i signed up for ti I only received a nationwide cash card (not the visa debit card).
is there some way to get the visa debit card with my current flex account? Or do i have to signup for another account with nationwide?
Thanks.0 -
You could try Crown Currency but earliest delivery date is 20/6/09.
Current rate is 1.1412.
Personally when I go to Greece in July I will be taking sterling as the exchange rates are always better abroad.
