  • Hi
I have just returned from selling my work at a craft fair in Ireland, not very successfully!
However, I have 800 Euro in cash to change back to pounds and of course I want the best rate possible to try and minimise my losses.
    Any suggestions please.
I don't know of anybody about to go to Europe on their hols!

    With thanks

If it's 1.15 trading now.. how long until we can purchase at that rate for our holiday money? I'm going away in 3 weeks and need £2000 worth of Euros.. I dont think it'll raise that much higher and wouldn't mind buying now at 1.15.

  • on a side note, if you were to think about buying a property in a euro country where would you get your mortgage from - in euro in the country you purchase you property or in £ in the UK? Are there any risks associated with either (apart from the fluctuation EUR/GBP)

Can be any currency you want. CHF mortgages were wildly popular in Poland with idiots who didn't understand currency risks, for instance.
    From Poland...with love.

I go away on holiday in July and planning on getting some money changed this week.

Would you recommend I use the local Post Office or use my Lloyds bank?
