Hi
Im due to pay for a villa in the next few days using Euros would I be better to pay today as visa rate 1.14 or wait a few days in the hope it goes up, do you think with all the brown trouble it will go down rather than up?
Thanks0 -

Well, if election results go badly, this may effect the euro.0 -
Which its looking likely it will so im guessing its better to pay today wish I had the other day when it was 1.16 oh well teaches me for being greedy!
Any other thoughts?0 -
I have not long been back from my holiday and managed to do well with my Nationwide card.
I got 1.1475 on average so was very happy with that.
I know it was down to the timing of the withdraws but those with Nationwide cards should use them in my opinion.
For what its worth my take is the pound may struggle for a week or so but 1.16 is not too long away. It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.

1.14691 now - hoping to see 1.15 today
on a side note, if you were to think about buying a property in a euro country where would you get your mortgage from - in euro in the country you purchase you property or in £ in the UK? Are there any risks associated with either (apart from the fluctuation EUR/GBP)0
