Only open till 10pm now. We went last month thinking it was 12 but they have changed hours to 10pm best check before you go !!!!

They all should be 12am just for today :) But again it might be worth ringing up to check!

Well, I have just got in from an 8 hour shift at IKEA Milton Keynes and have the following statistical information if anybody is interested..

    By 3PM UK-wide takings were over £10,000,000
By 3PM IKEA Milton Keynes had taken over £500,000

(Any Staff reading, this means we get our 40% off in May)

What have the queues been like in other stores? I know in MK that the queues got very bad at one point. All IKEA stores are the same layout, and at MK, the till queues were stretching into the warehouse aisles!

I spent an hour handing out mini diam bars today.. It's amazing, I almost got mobbed! Some people were taking handfuls!

was there for just after 5, expecting big queues in warrington, but non. Doors opened for breakky at half five, so eat before I shopped. The tills were fine, but it was the order points that were crazy, especially as they weren't advertising the fact that others were quiet, when there was a big queue. Sorted couch, kitchens and wardrobes. Bought so many items, it borke the till and had to be rekeyed. Collected items in a van with a tail lift, so just lifted in the trolleys and took em home. Went back to get the kitchen and drop off the other trolleys, kitchen was 6 more trolleys. Told them I couldn't check em properly (big queues, lots of items, lots of trolleys) and now find all the hinges, the trap for the sink and one other item missing, but can't work out what thanks to the names of everything. GOnna ring em and make sure I can collect items I need, without paying for them twice.

All in, a quiet morning, but when collecting kitchen at 2-3pm, car park mad, queues to the motorway, and lots of people buying small items so looked jammed.

The other annoying thing was they didn't have the cabinet for the built in oven. ANy ideas if they have in Ashton Under Lyne??

Nice to know they have taken £10mill, means that the country has saved:

(10/79x100)-10= £2.65 million pounds saved so far.

I nipped into Warrington store about 3pm expecting to be there hours. Only wanted some laminate flooring but was worried they'd sell out if I left it until later. Turns out there was probably only just double what we needed left so glad we went earlier, took 45mins from entrance to exit. Saved about £32 in all so quite happy indeed, enough laminate to cover two bedrooms! :)
I may be shy, but that doesn't make me an angel ;)

    I've been Money Tipped!
    ODG - I made a real c 0ck up!!!.

I went to Coventry and got the bed and mattress I wanted and saved £30, then went to home delivery - only queued for 50 mins so not too bad, but they are only delivering on Tuesday!!! Have hair appt then so arranged for it to be delivered to BF's flat as he works from home and is ok with this. Then called him to let him know and he's in the office on Tuesday -Aaargh!!! Bed has already been loaded ready to go so we can't go back and collect it now either!!!

I now have to cancel my hair appt and spend all day at his flat waiting for the wretched so I'm now peed off!!! If I'd known he would have collected it for me I would have saved on the delivery charge as well!!!

Staff were brill though, queues were minimal - I don't know why a previous poster said over 2 hours for home delivery at lunchtime - I was there from 1.15 to 2.05 and the queue was shorter when I had finished

  • I have the 21% voucher from my trip to Warrington this morning, but it specifically relates to Kitchens. Also, the girl said that if we came back another day, it would only be valid for kitchen stuff that was actually IN STOCK on that day.

There was a massive queue already at the desk (at 6.30), 6 tills going, and no quick service till for those of us with our lists on the computer, and no assistants in kitchens that weren't already swamped,to answer questions, so we are going back late tonight. Hopefully only a few locals will still be around.

    Hubby got his breakfast though!

Yes, it does say Kitchens on the voucher (and we only wanted wardrobes), so that is why I returned to the customer services dept to check if EVERYTHING could be redeemed, to which I had a resounding Yes. They supplemented their reply by saying that the voucher was being used as a 'general' voucher otherwise they would have had to had vouchers printed for every department. In fact, the guy who issued it even printed out our wish list before he gave it to us and there was not one kitchen item on our list.

Juar got back from Milton Keynes and the queue for home delivery was MASSIVE!
Nut we sailed through the ordinary tills though - shame the boys were so tired we rushed our shopping :(

Was in Coventry this evening at 6pm and the place was really quiet. Straight to any choice of about 5 tills and not really busier than any normal friday night...
