I'm thinking of going to Ashton-u-Lyne tonight. I finish work at 10.30pm and it's a half hour drive but it should be quiet by 11pm right?
I'm after a child's bed. Do you think I can phone and see if they have it in stock before I go?0 -
Hi all,
Just to report have just got back from Cardiff store, went by 8am (after the kids woke up!) and just managed to get a space in the car park. Was a little worried about how many cars were there but was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience as was fine wandering around the shop and only waited 15mins to queue at the tills.
Staff were fantastic - we had 4 year old and 15month old with us and needed two trolleys to carry out all of DD1 new bedroom furniture with us. I was pushing DD2 in the pushchair and a nice member of staff helped us push the trolleys to the lifts. The queue for arranging home delivery looked awful so I am glad we borrowed a friends van!
All in all, a very pleasant shop - spent less time in there than normal and saved nearly £200!0 -
Went to Birstall this morning at 6, bought what we needed and arranged for deliery.
2 guys just showed up with it and were telling us that the army had been called in as people are fighting over stock and all the extra they got in had gone!!!*~*Eleventh Heaven*~*

Me and the little sis went to Gateshead Ikea at 6am.
Big queues for kitchen and bathrooms and a bit of trolly chaos at the tills but otherwise OK.
Just got a few bits and pieces as I couldn't afford to go mad.

I had thought about going to Wembley or Edmonton, but I just heard the traffic news on BBC London and they specifically mentioned problems at all the London area IKEAs - it sounds mental so I am staying home!0
