You probably already know this but MO's website has been taken down now & replaced with an Administrators statement (pretty much confirming what's been said on the last few pages here).Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0

Just to confirm - I am 1/2 way through my contract - do I claim for the whole year's cashback or just what I am owed up to this moment? I can't see the point in claiming when there have been 6000 claimants already, but it's worth a try I guess0

You register your claim as the full amount still owed on the now defunct cashback contract.0

update for those with t-mobile
i phoned again after being told last time that unable to downgrade as in my contract, told them about what it says on bill that i can change after 6 months, girl first said i couldnt change until i mentioned this, she then went andspoke to manager, 1 min later she said fine to downgrade so i went on £25 a month plan,
pretty poor service i have to say0 -
I've emailed T-Mobile now at: cust.rel@t-mobile.co.uk
They've agreed to downgrade the contract - the lowest price I think is the Ufix at £15.00. Part of their response is below:
"I'm sorry that this company haven't lived up to their agreement with you and I'd like to see if there are other ways we can help you by reducing your costs. If you're on one of our Flext plans, you can lower your plan to any in our range as long as they're the same contract length. For example Flext 35 (12) to Flext 25 (12) or Flext 30 (18) to Flext 20 (18) and I'd be more than happy to add a discount of £5 (including VAT) to your account on these plans. This discount would remain on your account unless you accept a contract renewal offer from us. However, if you decide to cancel your account after downgrading your price plan then your cancellation fee will be calculated on your original plan.
Alternatively, you could change to one of our same contract duration U-Fix or Off-Peak plans. They would reduce your monthly line rental costs, but you'd also need to bear in mind what affect this would have on your allowances. Please get back to me should you like to accept this offer and if you do, we'll be able to make the necessary changes from your next billing month."
So, is definitely worth contacting them - I imagine that this will be a standard response to anyone who contacts them.0 -
Has anyone got a decent offer out of Orange? I've been with them 6 months, and just got them to downgrade my tariff from £40 to £30 per month, but that was via the 'best plan' option and they wouldn't let me go any lower, no special offers available for people who've lost out through TMO.Live on £11k in 20110

What did you actually say in the email as I have only been offered the downgrade, not the £5 discount on top.0 -

About a week ago I rang and the best I got offered was the £5 discount.
Then when they went into Admin. I decided to try again, and got them to offer me 2 downgrades on my 2 contracts, but I don't know if the £5 will be there on my next bills, lets wait and see.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Keep trying, I went through cancellations first and they said I could only downgrade one tariff at a time but I was then put through to the billing department in india to actually change the price plan, I told him the whole story about the cashback and he said he'd reduce it to £25 and then with a bit more gentle prodding I got my £35 contract downgraded to £20 a month. I only get about 130 ish minutes and about the same texts but that should be enough for me.
Only snag is that the discount will be active from my next billing date, which is in just under 28 days and I only have about 2 months left to go on my contract so it'll only be a saving of about £30 odd...better than nothing though0
