Thats the best news I have heard all year, since I am nearing the end of my contract and still havent received a penny for any of my cashbacks (even though none have been rejected!).
Just couple of quick questions....
1) If my next cashback is becoming due sometime soon, should I still send in the bills etc but to the administrator?
2) How do I explain how much is cashback is due to me to the administrator i.e. do I ask for the money due to me up to this point, or the total cashback that Mobile Outlet were obligated to pay through the course of the contract?
3) What are the chances of recievng even a penny, as I am guessing that they cant afford to pay everyone their cashback and thats why they went into liquidation, is this therefore done on a firs com first serve basis or just what ever is left over is divided over remiaining customers through some cirteria?
Thanks in advance.
p.s. how did you manage to find the information regarding the administrators, just for future reference incase something like this ever happens again!0 -

It is unlikely there will be any payout to creditors.
But all you need to do to register as a creditor is contact the Administrators and ask them to send you a creditors claim form (completely different to your cashback claim).
Complete that with all details and send it back. No need to send in any more cashback claims as that is just a waste of money on postage.
But don't get your hopes up.0 -
you can also send them an email and that will also count. they said about 6000 people are out of cashback, so good chance of not getting anything. but you can always send the email.0

Chaps I have succesfully had a warrant against the mobile outlet, however it has just come back that they are no longer trading at the address and I need to return a forwarding address to the court.
So what's their address? I had gave them the bantams Business Centre as mentioned in this thread.
Or do I just contact the administrators??0 -
Read through the last 10/20 pages to see the answer to your question.
If you want to be listed as a creditor then contact the Administrator, otherwise, move on!0 -

Mobile Outlet has now gone into liquidations details can be found on http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=8962931
I have been in contact with the appointed administrator (Wilson Pitts/Begbies Traynor)who confirmed that in the last few days they have had over 6000 claims logged. The company has very little money and it is highly unlikely that we as consumers will be compensated. They tried to say contact Oltelo to log a complaint/info on closed contracts. This is incorrect, the only avenue would be Trading Standards who are not willing to deal with the matter and that if consumers themselves cannot obtain compensation then they have to accept no course of redress. T-mobile are willing to allow change of plan as a gesture of goodwill, but you should put this in writing to the customer relations team as the customer services team will not offer unless you have been on contract for at least 11 months. I am currently arranging this as the best and only course action available. OfCom say there is nothing that can be done about independent agencies, T-mobile are not liabile. OfCom only have a voluntary code of conduct agreed with the network providers about sale incentives but this excludes independent agents, which most of the cashback etc are offered.
I am going to raise the matter with my local MP to force the government and OfCom to regulate the mobile industry who agree contracts through dealers such as Mobile Outlet to protect consumers from being caught out by such sale incentives and then having very little consumer power to resolve it.
Good luck!
