I just called T-Mobile who aren't allowing me to downgrade, i've been with them over 6 months. Is there any ref number i can quote, i've told them lots of other T-Mobile customers have downgraded, even the manager said i couldn't, any advise??
I can only suggest that you speak to or send an email to customer relations cust.rel@tmobile.co.uk, they have more power than customer services. State that it says you can change to a lower tariff after 6 months on the back of your bill, polite but firm!!
By all accounts the 11 month rule is a T-mobile policy, its not actually in the t&c's you signed up to, so if it says 6 months on the back of your bill you can only assume that the policy has changed and you want to take advantage!!

Pushpa, 3 out of 5 is better than most, be happy you got some money back!!!!
  • Just taken call from very nice CS rep @ T-Mobile. She knew that MO were in administration, and said normally they wouldn't do anything until liquidation, but she was willing to reduce both my tariffs to the lowest possible. I actually chose Ufix 15 and FlexT25, as otherwise the FlexT user would end up topping-up using my money anyway.

This has saved me £30 a month so I find this very helpful.

She was from CS team 4, and I think this may not be the same staff as at their call-centre, so e-mail them and leave a number asking them to call you to discuss it, I gather she had more lee-way than the Call-centre staff.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

I have just joined forum and don't have a spare 10 years to read all the posts on this company!
Call me Mr Lucky (or Mr Stupid) as this is the third phone I've been lumbered with at an extortionate monthly rental, I was with Phoneboxdirect too!

    Just off to hang myself...................

I think youv'e got the message now that most cash-back schemes are a con, and you can't get something for nothing.

Checking CompaniesHouse.co.uk for the status of Mobile Matters (UK) Ltd yesterday, I was surprised to note that their "registered office" is Valley Parade at Bradford. Other posters have said that enquiries to that address recently have been told that the premises have been vacated.

Was with Phonebox direct for a couple of years with no problems, I guess they just took on too many contracts........... Must be too many "Moneysavingexperts" out there!

Begbies Traynor is a large, national firm which took over Wilson Pitts in 2006.

    Its web page is HERE.

Begbies Traynor has requested that everybody who is owed cashback by The Mobile Outlet contact them, giving their name, their address, their contact details and the amount of money that they are owed in cashback.

It would obviously be wise also to supply them with your Customer Number at The Mobile Outlet and the Transaction Number(s) of the purchase contract(s) you took out. These are quoted on the documentation you received from The Mobile Outlet.

Providing them also with the dates, details and results of your cashback claims would seem sensible as well.

Those who obtained Count Court Judgements (either through MCOL or County Courts) against Mobile Matters (U.K.) Ltd. would be prudent to provide details of these as well.

The more information you provide, the less work Begbies Taylor will have to do to find it out.

Since every hour that Begbies Taylor and its staff spend on obtaining this information themselves is charged to the assets of Mobile Matters (U.K.) Ltd. - from the remains of which any monies ultimately payable to you will come - it makes sense to give Begbies Taylor as much help as you can!
