I'm waiting for the manager of the holiday flats to ring me back so we can discuss prices etc. So far I have 8 singles and 4 couples who want a room, with a few other people who want to come along but probably don't want a room.

I happened to mention this to my OH the other day - for the first time :rotfl: Anyway, I pointed out that we would be going to Blackpool for the weekend which is somewhere that neither of us have ever been *hangs head in mortal shame, but is a Skeggy girl at heart anyway coming from Lincolnshire originally:D*

So, put me and Mr-nearly-VickyA down for the knees up - if me name isn't already down.

Flats sound good by the way.

Hi,

I'm still waiting back to hear from the manager of the flats - spoke to another person yesterday who knew nothing about it, but said "you know none of our facilities (bar etc) will be open" So, we'll see what they can offer. If the flats are next to one of their hotels, I may see what the deal is on rooms in there, so you can make your minds up as to flat or hotel room. I'm also going to see if they are suitable for disabled people, as someone (sorry, forget who) asked about access for their son. So, the more the merrier. Please remember that this is Blackpool in November, so lots of attractions will be closed and it will undoubtedly be cold and wet. However, we shall all have a great time, whatever, I'm sure

Either way, I AM having a night away on 19th November. Must write it on the calender so Mr TM doesn't suddenly book something for himself, as is his usual trick.

It's looking more and more certain that I won't be able to make it. I don't have a lift available and between now and then I'm going to have to find the money for railfare up to my parents place at least twice bewteen now and the meet so my rather limited finances are going to take quite a hammering.

I'm really sorry because I'd been looking forward to this.

I think a few days ago I saw something here in this forum about an old style meeting/reunion but I was in a hurry and did not look into it properly.

Was I imagining things? I cannot find the thread anymore - maybe I mis-read something?

Help please! I'd hate to miss a reunion!
