Rob I went through this last week when I ate a 40 syn chocolate bar and felt I had ruined the whole diet, I was going to gain back every ounce of the 7.5 stones I have lost so far, people were going to laugh at me, I was a total failure, I was useless etc.
I came on here and got some support and these lovely people managed to calm me down. Yes we will panic when we break our diets, yes we do feel disappointed when we let outselves down but with support and over time we come to learn that one bad meal does not mean that all is lost! Come to that neither does a bad day or even a bad week! (I have had both:o)
In time you will learn to recognise these little set backs for xactly what they are - a little blip in your eating regime. Over the course of a lifetime they are nothing. Remember that in some form the slimming world eating plan really is a plan for life. It is not a strict diet, it is a healthy eating plan and slimming world knows that people, as part of a normal life, do have doners and beer and chocolate and belgium waffles with fresh strawberries and cream - whoops getting carried away there:rotfl::o.
Anyway the point I was trying to make is that you will in time recognise your blip for what it is and just carry on with the healthy eating the next day. If you do happen to put on this week or stay the same - it is not the end of the world. There is always next week, or considering its Xmas next week maybe the week after:T:beer:

Shamlessley quotes from Flateric back in October:
Don't Quit
When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
And forget all about being healthy and thin.
So What! You went over your Syns a bit,
It's your next move that counts...So don't you quit!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back in your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
If you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the strugglers, when loosing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
That the race wasn't over...they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
But facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,
If you bite it, you write it....But don't you quit!
How many times I wish I'd have remembered this!
I had a mini triumph last night. Split up with the BF last night, and to say I was upset would be a bit of an understatement. I had naughty food in the house but actually thought through my tear dazzled head and cooked something free instead (pasta with a beany sauce), so am proud of myself: most - well, all - of the weight I've piled on recently is from comfort eating due to relationship gone wrong, so am very happy that last night I triumphed over that one! Here's hoping I can do that more often! :j0 -
Big hugs for the break up naturally! :grouphug: Didn't you know you should never break up before Christmas? Get your presents first -THEN breakup:rotfl::D

Thanks for the reply. Quite honestly I don't think it is either of these as it is labelled virtually fat free.
I thought I read on here that VFF is more or less syn free but of course unless you know for sure there is no point.Mind you if the Fat free one is 8 syns then that theory is blown out of the window. Do you think SW have shares in |Mullers? It is a shame as these yogurts were only 29p each and when you compare that to Mullers, I would really like to be able to use them!!!Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

larmy - I made the same mistake as you and have been eating these:

I was horrified to see the syn value as I had been having at last 3 a day! No wonder it has been such a struggle for me:o
