  • I loved that show too! My favorite episode was All The Queens Horses, cracked me up with the singing mounties. I am Canadian which made it even more enjoyable for me! I did quite like the new Ray though:p

Yay! Another fan. I haven't watched them in a while as they are packed away in the garage, but after Dad died I found it comforting to see his Dad come to him as a ghost. My Dad never did. He's probably too busy playing in Ella Fitzgerald's band ;)

Just popping in to say that the recipe I posted about this afternoon (Special Beetroot Soup) was absolutely gorgeous ....... if I say so myself! :j It was lovely and thick and very tasty. I put a little black pepper on but DH loved it as it was and felt it needed no extra seasoning.

There was loads left so I'm freezing it. It really is worth a try.

CT - I loved those two episodes too and they made me a bit teary too :o:o - that show, and as it happens those episodes also featured her, introduced me to the simply stunning voice of Sarah McLachlan - one of My fave artistes

I have added another tab to my SW spread sheet to track walking - useful for those, like me, who have started walking to get some exercise - if you don't already have my sheet and would like to be added to the list of folk I keep abreast of any developments and send the new version to, drop me a PM with the word subscribe in the subject and ask to be added to the list - I'll then send you the latest version and keep you posted of any developments- I have one or two things in mind :D:D

To the folk already "signed up" I have sent the latest release this wvwninf - except Louby - your email address doesn't seem to work - can you resend it me so I can check it

Having found other threads on MSE really motivating, Im wonderin if it will be enough to help keep me on track without joining a group until January...

Judderman - low fat vinagarette dressing are free :j

I'm sooo tired my eyes are sore & slamming. The job I've just been moved from still haven't found a secretary (they are Employment Lawyers) so I'm doing the work I used to do for them now freelance in the evening, plus its the week before Xmas (obviously) so I've got a works event to prepare for on Friday day, works party (60's!) Friday evening, then OH away saturday night at a gig (Saturdays' my last day for getting the last few presents!) Sunday we're going to Jasper Carrott's show, Monday OH has asked the neighbours round , Tuesday OH's got a hospital appointment (and can't drive afterwards so I'm off work), Wednesday is Xmas Eve and I'm supposed to be working (my old job aren't coming in :mad). I think I'll just sleep over Xmas :o

OH doesn't seem in any rush to propose even though he knows I'm desperate to settle down so we can have babies and my mothers on my back about it and really upset me on Sunday (still upsets me now) saying I should leave him as he's obviously stringing me along. Also read in the paper that I'm more likely (20%) to miscarry as OH is over 35. At this rate he'll be over 40 :(

All in all I'm feeling sorry for myself and sorry for the rant.

Food wise I'm doing 'healthy' but not really 100% SW until 1 Jan.

Sorry I haven't replied to your email J'man. Maybe tomorrow x

    C xx

Just wanted to say, try and slow down a bit!! you will wear yourself out, and make yourself ill.....Make sure you have a lovely relaxing Christmas day, buy everything frozen so you don't have to slave over the Dinner, or even better, go out for dinner!!!!

Re. your OH, I am not being nosey here and feel free to ignore me:o But has he ever expressed a wish to get married? If he has maybe he just needs a bit of a push...or how about...........You propose to him:D

Hugs anyway, and I hope you feel a bit more upbeat soon.

    Mel x

Thanks Mel - well the one thing is all of this is I'm not doing Xmas dinner though I am helping Mum prepare for it. We're going to my parents for Xmas day and OH's Dad for Boxing Day. Its just everything else.

Yes, he has expressed a desire and says he 'has plans' - I've tried pushing. He knows the ONLY thing I want this Xmas is to be asked but I just don't think its going to happen. I wouldn't propose to him as I'm scared I'll force him into it (I've also stopped 'going on' about it in the last week) and I'll always wonder if he did it against his will.

Thanks, I think I'm just tired and emotional - its just I can't see any let up until the 28th (dealing with the families next week will be twice as bad as this week!)!

    C xx
