i feel a bit down tonight , i know i shouldnt of checked my weight last sat but im worrying now that although i have not had that many syns except last night 1 glass of wine and a donner meat kebab , im worrying that i will have put this back on , i was 17 8 at last weeks weigh in so any loss below that will be good and i only need a 1lb to get my 1st loss but im really worried that ill be sts , i know thats also an achievement but i feel like i have let my self down , problem was it was my friends birthday and he was wasted and he made me go in there (well i had to wheel him in ) an it was just too tempting. How do you guys get over the guilt etc ? any other advice you have ?

Hi Rob, please do not feel guilty, as it is this feeling of guilt that will give you low self esteem and make you feel like a failure....you are not!!!

I have a very skinny friend (a bloody model, no less) anyway, she sometimes will have a few beers, or a kebab, or kentucky fried chicken.....but it is very occasionally, say, every couple of months. But for the rest of the time she lives on fruit and vegetables mainly, and also swims for a good while EVERY morning. That is how she maintains being slim. It does not come naturally to most people, they have to work at it too, but they have just trained their minds and bodies to ealise which foods are unhealthy and which aren't.......which is effectively how this plan works.

Keep your optimism up and you will succeed. My philosophy is, anyone can do anything if they want to.

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

  • Hi everyone

I haven't posted for a while but i've been lurking looking for inspiration,as i have found the last week really difficult.

Its my fault due to lack of planning (& too much bread!!!!) i've gained 1 1/2 lb this week.

I have decided though that i will have one good week before my (Mini) blowout for xmas:D

Rob- we all get the alco- munchies sometimes & when i feel the call of the kebab i have one, however i always have a chicken one with chilli sauce(No Garlic mayo)
As after discussing with my consultant (she knows what i am like!)
she said that is the lowest syn option without feeling deprived.

She is quite right, i don't mind if my friend is knocking back pizza as long & i am munching something i like. If you don't like chicken have a lamb shish, try & stay away from doner meat its just fat, but as everyone says you can have anything you want as long as you count it.

    Jo xx
