I've just been on the walk run jog website, I didn't realise it existed till now...It is good isn't it?? I walk 1.1 miles twice a day just doing the school run so that's 2.2 miles each day, not including if I nip back down in the day to the shops which are just round the corner from the school. Tomorrow I am going to my friends house which is a round trip of 3.3 miles...so that will be on top of the school run!! I didn't realise I walked so much since giving up the car. I am definitely going to plan myself some routes out to go dog walking, especially as now I know how far I will be walking.

Thank you guys for this site.

Im also going to have a red day.

    on the menu is -

    Cantaloupe melon with mixed berries
    or
Pate ( i had a free recipe that was delish and free will find it or ask my consultant on Tue) Toast as HEB

Turkey, home made pigs in blankets, as in Dec Sw mag but instead of using minced pork I was going to use the Morrissons eat smart sausages and open them up and mix with sage etc.
Brussel sprouts, carrots and charlotte pots roasted Sw way as HEb will syn some gravy

pudding - this is where i wil get a wee bit naughty as my mums is supplying pud, she is bringing a selections of individual mini cheescakes and the m&S mini melt in the middle choc puds. Ill have one of each and skip the cream.

we will be having nibbles later but i was planning on getting walkers baked crisps, limbos and french fries instead of doritos or pringles.

I will also be having wine, but will be saving syns for that.

over all Im trying to be good where i can and let my hair down and not worry to much about the rest as im not doing anything until new year so will be making up for it then.

  • Hi all

Haven't been posting regularly for a bit, but I have been keeping up with your posts (just about - wow you guys can chat :D )

There have been some FAB losses here (dlb - 5lb!! wow!), and frankly, anyone who is losing this time of year is doing really well.

I have had a busy (social) couple of weeks, this week alone has had two restaurant meals out and a buffet social night. The restaurant meals weren't too bad, but buffets are sooooo hard on the willpower  coz none of it is sw friendly, and all of it is delicious and food I havent seen for *months* :rotfl: ...ho hum, shall be good the next couple of days

I have had a few M2M days over the last week, and have found they are working well for me - I am not usually a snacker anyway, so I find M2M suits my style of eating..... that said, I am starting to wonder whether 'little and often' would kick start my metabolism and help me lose a little faster ..

nano I believe you asked for SW pate recipe - I picked this one up from class.. hope it helps..

    8oz chicken livers
    1 clove garlic - crushed
    salt and pepper
    v.l.f. fromage frais
    1 chopped onion
    1/2 tsp mixed herbs
    4 oz chopped bacon

Fry onion, garlic and herbs til soft.
Add bacon and livers and cook for 7 mins. (I don't know why that is so specific :rotfl: ).
Allow to cool, then blend til smooth.
Add v.l.f. fromage frais 1 spoon at a time until you get the right consistency. Season well.

If you fancy a coarse pate instead, I have adapted meatloaf recipes before now, and that works well....

Here's to a good week ahead for us all - I am planning to be :A .. lets see how I do :D

I dunno if anyone saw the Hariy Bakers (Bikers) prog on BBC 2 last night? But they were doing a xmas episode and at the end they said 'Christmas day is about relaxing and enjoying family and food , not for counting points or having a Green or Red day' I thought this was hilarious and made me realise I was focusing too much on xmas day food. as I said in my last post Im going for damage limitation, being good where I can but not bothering too much about the naughty bits, as I love Christmas day with all my family round, and if Im sitting there counting syns and feeling miserable about stuff I cant have then it will ruin the day.
thats another reason I wanted to host it this year (my first time argh) so i could buy in the right things and cook them the SW way, but I will also be having treats for everyone else to have. It is only one day of the year, so I plan to enjoy it and my turkey dinner.

Nic, I have decided to have whatever I want on Christmas Day and go back to the plan on Boxing day, then New years eve I am going to have what I want again.....................it is Christmas after all:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
