Im having a green day today
Brekkie - 1/2 cantaloupe melon, shape yog then 2x Wm toast with jam (1/2 syn) and banana (free+free+HEB+free)
Lunch - Baked pot with beans and HEA cheese
afternoon snack - satsuma, banana
Tea - I have quorn chicken pieces to use up. I really like this and normally make a curry out of it with loads of rice, but im fed up with that and getting a bit fed up with tomato based sauces. Was thinking of getting bacon and having pasta with quorn chicken and mushies, but would like a creamy carbonara type, free sauce. Does anyone have a good recipe for this? (i normally look online but cant remember the password, will wait til Tue for next one)

I try to plan a menu at least a week in advance but do find I change my mind so what I have done in the past is copy the food diary onto A4 so that i have a week's diary on one a4 sheet. I photocopy it double sided so one side I write out a red week and on the other side I have my green choices.
I can then pick and choose what I want each day.
Another thing to do which I pinched from someone on the grocery challenge forum is to list everything you have in your fridge/freezer/cupboards. Once I had done this, I made a list off all the possible SW meals I could have and then aimed to cross as many off my list as poss. Didnt do many but the idea was good!0 -

Thank you nic, but I'm afraid you give me more credit than is due to me! My menu plan is done daily - I open the fridge and the freezer and plan from the contents what I will have that day! Breakfast is of course fairly straight forward especially on Monday morning when I get weighed! I only have fruit then which I take to class and then munch on after I get weighed and I am waiting for class to start:o
So todays plan is a mix2match day:
Breakfast - fruit - banana, apple, 2 satsumas
Lunch - Leftover rice and vegetables from last night mixed with quorn curry from the freezer - (free and free + 3 syns)
Dinner - Small rack of lamb with baked potato, steamed carrots and green beans with scan bran cakes and custard for dessert (free+2heb+free+hea+8syns)

im making a lasagne toniht as its my friend/flatmates birthday but im doing it as a slimming world one with plenty of veg on the side as he doenst want veg in lasagne .. so will be quorn lasagne basically making tomato sauce with chopped toms an passata and white sauce for to with low fat nat fromage frais and then sprinkle with grated cheese hea wish me luck , i promise i wont have to much wine and as for the birthday cake i think i will have to sit there and watch everyone else eat it and have some fruit as losing the wieght is more important than this (i know i could syn it but its my choice)

Im having a green day today
Was thinking of getting bacon and having pasta with quorn chicken dous .
I bought some quorn 'bacon' Not exactly bacon but has the same taste of smokey bacon crisps as its quite strong and I use that now if i just fancy something bacony.
We were also told at the meeting that of we go to the new year meeting on 30th Dec we will get to know about the new plan in advance of everyone else knowing in January.

We are having our SW party night tomorrow night and I am taking pate (free on red - page 485 post 9697) on tiny pieces of melba toast - get sliced wholemeal bread. toast it, and cut it in half, between the toasted edges, to get it ultra thin, then cut into small triangles, 8 per slice, then grill the other (uncooked) side. when cool, put on the pate..
other ideas..
make a garlic dip using quark / fromage frais / yog etc and serve with vegies to dip.
'roast' some baby new potatoes, put on sticks and provide a sw free dip..
a bowl of jelly / mousse etc etcalso, if you are strapped for time, you don't have to make, you could buy...
a couple of alpen lights chopped up (people always like to try other flavours),
quorn scotch eggs, 1 syn each

On the subject of walking, and Judders you might be able to answer this - are you working towards your body magic awards and how on earth do you complete a fit log? According to the fit log, as I walked for just over 55 minutes yesterday, this amounts to 11 units of 5 mins towards my bronze award? I dont understand it though and am none the wiser for reading the little body magic booklet or reading up on the SW site.
Any exercise you do over and above what is normal for you, can be counted towards your Body Magic award. So if you're normall very sedentary, a five minute walk to the front gate and back would be good.
Bronze standard is to work up to 45 minutes a week (spread over 3 sessions at least) and that standard maintained for 4 weeks.
Silver is 90 minutes spread over 6 sessions and maintained for 4 weeks.
Gold is 30 mins a day for 5 days (150 mins in total) - maintained for 8 weeks
Platinum standard is reached when exercise has become a lifestyle rather than a chore.
You don't have to prove anything to your Consultant regards the exercise, just ask her (or him) for your award.
F.I.T. logs are there to help focus your mind on what your aims are and how you're going to achieve them. They don't have to be filled in at all if you don't want to, they are for your eyes only and not meant to be seen by your Consultant.
Hope this helps and keep up with the walking - it's one of the best exercises you can do and very MSE tooI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
