    Hi:santa2:

Are there any long-time members of SW around that could help me with a recipe i lost when moving house?

    It was for vegetable lasagne.

It's main point was that you made the cheese sauce by liquidising a tin and a half of macaroni cheese (which i understand is no longer allowed on the plan)............

I've bought half a ton of veggies but have now lost the recipe:eek: and i have vegetarian guests coming next week..

    TIA.......Panicking-Patty xxxxxx

Any veggie lasagne recipe should work, I make it with loads of veg that we like--we use onions, mushrooms, and garlic as a base, then add other stuff like courgettes and aubergines. Just dry fry the veg then add tomatoes, herbs, and seasoning to make a ratatouille type sauce. Then make a cheese sauce of your choosing.

I then use this sauce much as I would the meat sauce in a meat lasagne--alternate veg sauce, lasagne sheets, cheese sauce, lasagne sheets, and so on until all the sauce is used.

    Hope that helps, jay xx
    Anytime;)

Oow nano, sciatica is nasty, I have acupuncture for mine. Much cheaper than not working.

Well done Juds, I haven't even been outside today. Would you believe that I have a golden retriever who hates rain--scuttles out to do her stuff, then runs back in! She's fab otherwise though.
    Anytime;)

It can be very effective, I pay privately but only needed 3 sessions a couple of years ago, and haven't had any pain since. Local teaching clinic is half price too. I do seem to be particularly sensitive to acupuncture though.

I am really imprssed by your walking:T I know I wouldn't be able to cover the distance you do at the moment but I could probably do a mile (at a push:o) in about the same time frame! What I lack is the get up and go to get up and go if you see what I mean! How do you make yourself do it? Or are you really wanting to go? I do eat all the right foods but I get almost no exercise at all. In fact the longest walk I had this week was around Tesco doing my shopping. God I feel so embarrased saying that:o:o!
Your dinner sounds good, think I have a ribeye in the freezer, might have that for tonight:j

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well. It rained all day yesterday which always makes things a little miserable! Then I went to Tesco last night and got loads of vegetable bargains (carrots -10p, onions 8p,brocolli 12p, cauliflower 8p, bags of runner beans 12p and packets of leeks 12p plus a nice big joint of pork reduced from almost £7 to £1.35:j All that cheered me up and I have plans to make loads of soup today for the freezer!

    Today I am having:

Breakfast - bacon, eggs and hashbrowns (free)
Lunch - Hot pork sandwich with mashed potato and mixed vegetables (free+heb+2syns+free)
Dinner - Ribeye steak with prawn skewers(need to eat these as have been in the freezer for almost a year!) with rice (free)
Snacks - fruit and yogurt with milk in coffee will use up my hea

    Love
    Marion
