Having a real sweet tooth craving tonight. I'm usually a savoury fan, but I'll blame it on my hormones. I'm waiting for my sugar free jelly, quark and fromage frais mixture to set and then I'll have lovely raspberry mousse :beer:I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them, but they were only satellites

Does anyone else find the run up to christmas really hard - its the worst time of year for me. I think its because i relate food to pleasure and its such a big part of chritmas and the run up celebrations.
Not this year though i'm going to be good and get a loss over this time and give myself a 2 stone headstart for the new year ! (hoping the positive thinking will show itself on my scales).

I have been really rubbish this weekend.
My dinners and lunches have been good and to plan, but as BF is here this weekend we have manages to polish off 4 yes 4 bottles of wine between us over Fri and Sat :eek:.
This is a lot for us (stupid 3 for £10 deals) We also had a pack of french fries each (5 syns) and an extra slice of bread (2 1/2 syns)
I just feel rubbish as we have both been so good. My BF is doing SW too and has lost over a stone in 4 weeks. Have a feeling we will both be gaining this week.
I was so chuffed yesterday as my size 14 jeans were very loose and I was wondering if I should try a 12. I havnt been a 12 since I was 16 years old (now 32)
oh well going to be super good today and save at least 20 syns between now and weigh in on Tue.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Going to have another RED day today. I had one yesterday and had a lovely steak for dinner with aparagus. I have pork steaks for dinner tonight but not sure what to do with them yet. Want to make something my 2 toddlers can eat too, syn free. any suggestions? I have quark in the fridge and a butternut squash, was thinking casserole but not sure if pork might be too dry for that.
Brekkie - bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toast (HEB)
Lunch - pork steaks (dont know whats happening to them yet) with tenderstem brocolli and aparagus
pudding - lasting sat shape yoghurt
snacks, fruit, fruit and more fruit
dinner - quorn chicken curry with a little rice (HEB)
tea with milk from HEA and rest in Scrambled eggs.
btw going to put the xmas tree up today, cant wait.
Kandipandi, im with you on the christmas/food pleasure thing. I love christmas, I love all the family being round and feeling festive, but it makes me think of food all the time. Im just going to get planning and stocking up the freezer.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Well done :T
I am a bit like you. Not been a size 12 for a long time, prob when I was 19. Now 34 and get into a size 12. I jus thought I would try a 12 just to see how much more flab i needed to shift and I was over the moon when I fitted. It is a wonderful feeling and motivates you to keep doing what your doing.

I have had a weekend off this week takeaway food and alcohol not too overboard but im still expecting a huge gain on tuesday, why is it so much easier to put weight on than it is to lose it, i can be so good all week and lose a pound at WI, then i can have 1 day off and all my hard work is ruined. I had chinese on Friday night and fish shop yesterday and about 8 halves:eek: of lager during the course of the day yesterday and according to my scales this morning im 6.5lbs heavier than on weigh in day last tuesday:eek: . 1 or 2 lbs i would have expected but 6.5, thats just rediculous, i know that weight fluctuates during the week and can change alot during the course of the day but that has shocked me and has made me a tad depressed, which is why im putting up decs and making cake to try and cheer me up.

northern lass...sometimes we just need that "blow out" to get us focused back on track...call it a "flexible syn" week and just draw a line under it.
Happens to the best of SW'ers.

Good morning, hope you are all well. I did good yesterday and managed to stick to plan although when my husband cracked open a bottle of wine I had to grit my teeth and force myself to say no:rotfl:! Felt very virtuous when I went to bed last night which was rather ruined when I got out of bed and had a sneaky weigh in on the scales. I don't seem to have lost anything at all:mad: I know my scales never match what they are at class but they normaly indicate a general trend in the right direction:mad:
Oh well, all I can do is carry on and have faith in the plan! Speaking of which here is todays:
Breakfast: 28gr puffed wheat with dried cranberries and milk (heb+2.5syns+hea)
morning snack - fresh fruit (free)
Lunch: Grilled tuna steak served on a mixed salad with balsamic spray (free) and a yogurt (free)
afternoon snack - scan bran cakes with cup of tea (half of heb+2 syns)
Dinner: Chicken Casserole (skinless chicken, swede, carrots and bn squash plus colmans mix) - (free + 2 syns) plus mincemeat cupcakes served warm with custard (other half of heb+8 syns)
Thats a total of 12 syns for the day. My first thought this morning was to almost eat nothing at all today but I know I would have got told off in class tomorrow morning if I did that so I am going to have my syns and my healthy extras and I will stick to the plan:jalthoough it is very very scary!!
Love
