I has used my expert detective skills  and discovered this information: http://slimmingworldsupport.ebh.to/forums/showthread.php?t=2073 and http://messageboards.ivillage.co.uk/n/mb/message.asp?web!!!!!iv-ukdfslimming&msg=34117.17&x=y
But in looking, I've seen that information has been removed from a lot of forums because of concerns about SW feeling impinged upon - no idea what this forum's policy is, so apologies if this isn't allowed(!)
I don't think I quite understand how it can work as it seems much, much less restrictive... but I'll wait for our consultant to share the ins and outs of it!0 -
Have been out for carvery lunch today. Roast beef (lean), broccoli, green beans, carrots, cauliflower, I small yorkshire pud and 2 average roast potatoes and about 2 tablespoons of gravy. No pudding. No alcohol, just a fruit juice. I enjoyed it because I didn't cook it.;)
Will just have a small omelette and some salad mid-evening.0 -
Due to work committments and evening work, I had to stop attending SW group. I was finding it tough anyway as I did not have much to lose. I stopped smoking finally about two months ago and as a result have been choccing out so have gained about 6lbs. I know it is far more important to be off the cigs.
I am depressed though with my weight gain. So I am coming to this thread from tomorrow. I wont be going to group due to reasons mentioned but I am going to do my own club 10 and use the money to buy something nice to wear or a massage.
I have been more or less sticking to the plan but not synning all my extras and it shows.
So back on track tomorrow. I am going to plan my menu tonight for the next week.
Quite excited really. You know how it is when you make a decision to change.....:)Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Well done for quitting Larmy!!:A :A You are dead right, it is much better to stop smoking than eat a bit too much. At least you realise it is the chocs that have made you gain a bit.
Don't be too hard on yourself, because you have done really well. When I quit they told me it could take 12-18 months for my metabolism to get back to normal.
I'm wondering whether you could do a little more exercise & still enjoy a few treats. Even an extra brisk walk around the block or a few miles bike ride would help. Anyway, you can still have your treats with SW can't you, just remember to count it. :j0 -
Larmy welcome to the board.
I quit smoking a few weeks ago and put over a stone on, which is why im on this forum every day.
Congrats in quitting it is very hard i know but concentrating on your eating plan will take your mind off the cigs i hope, it did for me.You can stand there and agonize........

Larmy - if you need a hand keeping tabs on what you are eating - I have created a food diary spreadsheet, with formulae to keep tabs on syns consumed within a 7day period - if you think it might be useful for you and would like a copy drop me a PM and I'll let you have a copy

Hi all
I've had a weekend away, and all things considered, I kept (mainly) to plan.
I am chuffed because today, at a restaurant with extended family, I chose the vegi bean cassulet (toms and mixed beans and salad v yummy) followed by a starter I had spotted - melon, fresh pineapple and strawberries - how good was I!! :A
Re new plan - this was discussed a little while back, and Consultant 31 suggested that there would be a new plan to *complement* the existing plan, not replace it ... ie this would be an additional choice (like mix2max and successexpress). sw_mina the links you gave were ceratainly interesting, and I can look forward to the new plan if early indications are even close to true, but I am going to hold on and get the info the 'official route' - I have spent long enough with this plan to know that SW provides plans that work, and half-heard, personal adaptions tend not to
So this week.... I am going to so SW (standard red and green), but a little different :rotfl: ... I am a cookbook collector (hundreds  ) and whilst I have read almost all from cover to cover, I haven't cooked all the recipes (not enough meals in the day). I happily spend at least an hour (and sometimes several hours) preparing tea each night (hey, we don't watch telly, this is what we do for fun, and goes some way to explain our weight gain!!!) So every now and then, DH and I have decided to select a cuisine or writer or chef or single book, and cook from it (adapting recipes to 100% SW along the way) for one week. It will give us a chance to explore certain ideas and travel some new and interesting culinary journeys....
This first week, we will cook exclusively from my indian cuisine books. Some meals will be traditional indian, some will be indo-british, some will be simply indian inspired, but it means that we can explore the cuisine a little further in the week than we could ever achieve once a fortnight... I have trawled out a few recipes already, but am off to write my basic menu..... I might be some time(no great hardship - I love looking at my recipe books, and this gives me another excuse!)

Feel free to call me mad, but I might be close to putting myself through a week of fast forward. I'm still menu planning and will need to shop first, but am actually not too scared at the moment!I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them, but they were only satellites
It's wrong to wish on space hardware
I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care0
