    Fast Forward (for Mr. J,and anyone else unfamiliar with the concept) is a plan offered by sw when you've stuck to plan for a number of weeks but not lost for a while.It is basically made up of units,no food is free,you chose from a numbered menu up to a certain allowance.It is very strick but usually yields very good results - up to 6 pounds in the cases I know of:D

  • Morning everyone :D

    Really good day yesterday, food wise (it was proper crap every other way, but I'll take the positives where I can!)

    Had 2 slices of nimble toast with spread (1syn) and marmite for brekkie, then a banana and yogurt.
    Orange mid morning and lunch was crispbreads, LCs and salad.
    At home had baked potato and cottage cheese with 42g reduced fat cheese on it, then had 2 squares of cote d'or plain choccy. SW website doesn't have the syn value for that so chose green and blacks from the list as it's similar (and I doubt it would be more syns as it's more bitter so less sugar). That was 1syn per square so hopefully that's 9 syns.
    I saw two shooting stars last night
    I wished on them, but they were only satellites
    It's wrong to wish on space hardware

    Could it be that you aren't having enough syns? I have found that after a week or 2 of limiting them and not losing much I have had a 'sod it' moment and eaten a takeaway and lost at WI. I'm not suggesting you shovel down fast food, but maybe have all your 10 syns a day. Your body needs the extras to function so you might be putting yourself unintentionally into starvation mode.

    I agree. Syns are there as part of a balanced diet. i think you should try and up your syns a bit - even having some tomato ketchup or something with your dinner.

    Also are you drinking enough water? You should aim for 2litres a day to keep things moving and your body functioning (it is 70% water after all!)

  • Good morning everyone - it is the dreaded weekend, the time I normally struggle with the plan and undo all the good I have done in the week:mad::o.

    Today will be different, I have girded my loins and my resolve!:p I won't promise about tomorrow yet - one day at a time!:rotfl:

    So today I am going to have:

    Breakfast - Not long out of bed so just going to have fruit and yogurt with my scan brans this morning (free + heb)

    Lunch - Bacon and eggs with mushrooms and tomoatoes - free

    afternoon snackies - optifit yogurt with berries

    Dinner - Toad in the hole made with 3 low fat sausages and 227g jacket potato mashed (my portion will count as (5.5 syns plus 1 heb for the potato) served with carrots (free)

    evening snack - home made cinnamon swirl scone - 10 syns

    That will make a total of 15.5 syns

    I was just going to suggest the same pOO. I have eaten very few syns some weeks and gained!! And eaten 15 others and lost 3-5lb's - go figure?
    Please dont beat yourelf up though, try eating all of your syns and be sure you are weighing/measuring your HE's.

    Retiredlady I am just like you - im a saint all week until the weekend! Today im taking the children into town (!!:eek: .!) to get ideas for the santa list (i must be nuts) but im gonna have to be extra restrained as its very tempting whilst out of the house all day and they will be wanting to eat out at some rubbish fast food type joint so i might just sit outside on the pavement and eat my apple - poor me :rotfl:

    Exactly what i was going to say hun, try upping the syns slightly p00. and half a pound is still good its half a guinea pig :)
    You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
