Hi everyone:D
Judderman, a 3 stone loss is brilliant WELL DONE YOU:j:j
Hi Whistling Gypsy, that's a bit worrying, I'm on week 2 and eat like a horse:rolleyes:. I hope you find the solution, I know some people in my group go through lose/gain cycles, but lose overall.
Lovelyladybird, I seem to be using all my syns too, don't need them during the week, but crisps and alcohol at the weekend, whoops:o. I'm sure I'll magically manage to give them up if I stop losing:cool:.
Searching out SS food is a great idea ikkle, I forgot about those, the idea of eating to speed weight loss is fab:D
Have a good afternoon everyone, Jay, xxAnytime;)0 -

SW Dilemma
Have lost just under 2 stones with SW in 7 months, which I'm pleased about. I love the SW plan and have no probs with it. Feel great, happy & fit. :j
For the last 6-8 weeks I have either maintained, lost a half pound to pound or gained same amount. I am eating properly, drinking plenty and consultant has seen my diaries and they're fine. I have a brisk walk every day and I have started swimming in the last few weeks but even that has made no difference.
I am wondering whether to stop going for maybe 4-6 weeks and just carrying on as I am at home because TBH all these £4.50's are adding up and I don't really feel I'm learning a lot now. I deffo will NOT go back to my old ways of eating because I am very positive about the SW way of eating.0 -
Part 2 (in case I lost the first bit!!
)
I still need to lose another 2 stones I reckon to be a really healthy weight.
Has anybody else left for a bit and re-joined? I don't want this to sound negative because I am REALLY happy with SW but I am finding it a bit tedious on these dark, dreary nights, forking out and not losing weight.
I use loads of SW recipes and love them as does my whole family. I have even started doing Green days a few weeks ago and while the food was fine that didn't make me lose any more weight.
I never eat sweets, cakes, pastry etc (since I started SW) and seldom drink alcohol and my whole way of shopping/cooking/eating food has totally changed for the better. My family tuck into mince pies, stollen etc and I can say "no" quite easily now!
I just feel I'd benefit from a break and save some money too.
Thanks in advance.0 -

Perhaps a week on fast forward? It's tough but really seems to help people when they're genuinely stuck.:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p
Was 11 st 5,now 10 st 7,would like to be....9 stone0 -
Pennylane you sound like me! i could have written all that!
I've even tried Slimfast as a boost but it hasn't worked. I need to see the Dr about the pill I'm on (I think it might be the culprit) but other than that I'm stumped too. I'm doing SW at home now, but I do tend to cheat without the discipline of class but I haven't gained yet, so all good for the mo. I will go back to class but I need to find out why I'm not losing any more.
hugs to you - no solutions but just to let you know you're not alone!

Whistling Gypsy - if you don't eat regularly, your body begins to think you are going to starve (no, honestly, lol) and will hang on to every calorie. The most likely answer to your problem is to eat at least every 4 hours. You don't need to eat more food, just have it at more regular intervals.
Chaos Theory - the For and Against list is meant to include your reasons for wanting to follow SW (eg: want to be able to get into that little black dress) and the reasons for NOT being able to follow the plan (eg: got a social event coming up). Once these negatives are written down, you can usually see them for what they are.........excuses!!
Example:-
You want to slim into the dress, but you have a party coming up.
You can still follow the plan and go to the party.
A....You could become the nominated driver for the night, which means you won't be tempted by the alcohol.
B....You could have a SW meal before going to the party and thus not be tempted by the buffet.
C....You can save some (not all) syns during the week and allow yourself extra on the night.
D....You could decide to have a Flexible Syn Day and work out beforehand how many syns you will need in order to have a good time. Be generous but make sure that during the event you keep counting and stop when you get to the total you've allowed yourself.
gladysrocker - if the item you want to have as a HE isn't on the list, it's best not to have them. It may be that they're new and haven't made it onto the list yet, but will. Or it may be that they don't have enough calcium to be counted as a HEA (or fibre in the case of a HEB). Hope this answers your question.
Pennylane - Have you tried Success Express or Mix2Max for a change? It could be that you're having too much of the same old, same old. Food Optimising successfully, depends on you having a large variety of foods, so if you find that you tend to be in a rut with your meals, this might be the answer. Picking out the SS foods, in preference to mearly free foods, can help too. Please don't give up yet, there's plenty you could try. Split your meals down into 5 or 6 smaller portions through the day and if you've just taken up extra exercise, this often slows your weight loss for a while, though your body will be shaping up in the meanwhileI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Can anyone help? Having a green day (again!) but stuck for dinner tonight. OH out again. Haven't got much in to make a pasta sauce, but can't think what else I fancy. Have already done baked bean lasagne earlier this week.
I've eaten baked beans and pasta til they come out of my ears and I'm not getting decent SW chips with my oven recently though I do have some new potato's and schwartz Shotz BBQ sachet
Pls help before I eat something I shouldn't!
