After reading all the posts i am really tempted to make a rosti, used to makes them ages ago mixed with a bit of curry powder for spice, would go lovely with the purple sprouting broccoli i got yesterday.
So anyone tried anything other than tomato based pasta sauce lately? I had some of that new Philly and basil (2 syns 28g I think) with some pasta that made a nice change, it was especially nice as i miss Pesto so much. I used to have homemade pesto with everything.
I am trying to plan my weeks meals as I know it is going to be a manic week ahead. What do people use their slow cookers for?

Chicken Jalfrezi
Egg fried Rice (both ready meals from tesco)

Whole loaf of bread - some with the meal , then 5 slices with butter and Nutella, 5 crackerbreads also with butter and Nutella:o:o
Oops
I think you need to eat more free food - if you eat loads of them you won't need the bread perhaps.
If you're a meat lover, get a whole chicken, remove the skin/fat and use it to pick at between meals (on a red day). Alternatively if you're a green day fan, have lots of potato or pasta with your meals. Make a pasta salad to keep in the fridge for eating between meals.
I don't think ready meals are big enough for people with a large appetite (I know they're never enough for me) unless you add a huge salad or lots more beggies to fill you up.
SW really does work especially well for people who eat a lot but you have to make some sacrifices of course. You need to really fill up with free foods at every meal - if you come away from the table hungry you're going to pick at something unsuitable.
I see you say that you don't/can't cook, but it's the only way for this to work properly. There are lots of simple, easy to follow recipes in the magazines and there are lots here too:-

You're welcome. I've not tried the rosti - all that grating is too much trouble (what can I say, I'm a lazy git, lol).I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Judderman62, I think the pizza would be the worst of the lot. I've been caught out before! I go for chinese mixed veg and tofu at my local takeaway and I think that's about 6.5 syns, with rice on a green day it's a good choice.

Had 2 very nice Green days and having an Original today.
Been swimming this morning but had a lazy afternoon.
Am going to make a SW Shepherds Pie for tonight - I make one big one for all family members except me with mashed potato topping. I make another for myself with mashed swede and carrot/spring onion topping which I now prefer!! Got to go I'm dribbling on my keyboard!!:rotfl: :rotfl:0
