i have been extra extra good this week, i made a meal on friday for my sister and she couldnt believe it was SW friendly infact it was 1 syn for the whole 2 courses so she is joining SW with me on Tuesday. infact her words were "if i can eat this good and still lose weight guess where im going on tuesday" lol. we did have a bottle of rose between us tho and a vodka and sugar free cherryade so that used up my syns but apart from that i have been really good and am chuffed with myself and for once in a very long time im looking forward to getting on those scales on tuesday.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0

have you ever made this pizza, ive found the amount of potato you use really takes away the taste of the pizza toppings also you cant actually pick up the slice of pizza you have cut and i think that is part of the fun of pizza. it has been made by several of my groups members and none of them can get away with it. i know we can make adjustments to our liking and this has been done but no we still cant get away with it. have you done anything different or any of your members that you can share with us and we can pass on.
Yes I've made it for group a couple of times. I spread the mash very thinly onto a baking tray and cook in a low oven for ages until it goes crisp. If you don't cook the sauce topping enough that may make it soggy again - it needs simmering till it's very thick and actually has to be spread on the mash.
I have found that watery toppings (like mushrooms for example) can spoil it a bit, but using sweetcorn, chopped mange tout, onion (pre-fried in Frylight), a HEB of chopped ham and a HEA (or 2) of cheese and it slices quite well - not massive slices though....they need to be small (for the more refined eater :rotfl: :rotfl:)I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

well I had:
Chicken Jalfrezi
Egg fried Rice (both ready meals from tesco)
accompanied by :
Whole loaf of bread - some with the meal , then 5 slices with butter and Nutella, 5 crackerbreads also with butter and Nutella:o:o
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -

I suggest you go 'back to basics'! Get out all your books and magazines. Actually read the instructions for the plan and be honest with yourself as to where you're 'tweaking'. You can get away with this at the beginning, but there comes a time when it has to stop or the weight loss will.
I bet you've stopped weighing all your HEs and syns and now just estimate the size/weight of things. It's common and I'm not criticising, but it often needs pointing out to long-term members.
Start again, using all your HEs (3 or 4) and the full 15 syns - you may need to frop this to 10 fairly soon, but start with 15). Make sure you're making full use of free food, look out for S and SS foods and do try to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water (or other syn-free liquids) every day.
I know the weather's not wonderful at the moment, but getting out of the house for a brisk 30 minute walk a day will not only help you stay away from food, but makes your bones stronger (weight bearing exercise), your heart stronger (aerobic exercise), lowers the risk of diabetes, strokes and bad cholesterol, lifts the mood (by stimulating the production of endorphins) and it helps lower stress levels!! How can you afford not to go
Seriously though, you need to get back to the mind-set you had in the very beginning when you were prepared to follow the plan exactly, have lots of variety in your meals and not tweak the rules.
I hope this helps. You've done so well up to now, you know it works so it's just a matter of following the plan 100% to see great results again.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
