yikes that's a lot of syns :eek::eek::eek: awww thanks for going to all that effort

oh the curry mentioned in 1) is just rice and curry (no meat) - my thinking on that one is that it's all green :o:o:o

Hi hun just had a look in the food directory and for indian vegetable curry it is 12.5 syns on red or 9syns on a green. thats for a 380g portion btw.

Hope some of it helps. You could always make your own curry at home and freeze it for moments of need :)

Judd I think the reason they are quite high is due to them using a lot of oil in their cooking hun. Are you a competent cook? Cos if you can cook, or follow a recipe at least I can find some recipes for you for things like curries that are syn free. x

not really no -starting to take baby steps - pathetic innit - I'm 46 and can barely cook.

My idea of cooking is getting take away or chucking a ready meal in oven or microwave :o:o

Must admit have enjoyed starting to make some real meals though - enjoyed making the BB lasagne.

any real quick n easy (and idiot proof) recipes would be welcome thanks :D:D I have picked quite a few up from SW group - just need to start getting organised and making some of 'em

    thanks again

  • Have any of you thought about how much weight you would like to lose by christmas from your last weigh-in? I need to lose 4 and 1/2 stone all together so would realistically love to lose a stone by then so thats about 6 and a bit weeks from my first weigh-in last sunday which is just over 2lbs a week which i think is very do-able.
See if you can make your mini goal by christmas! :xmassmile

You know the info on the takeaway amounts is really useful isn't it. I've never took much notice and always ignored them if I fancied one on WI night BUT not anymore.. I would have reached my target before now definately and have stayed the same for 2 wks so this week I'm going to do different!

I'm having a mix 2 max day today and have had,

Breakfast - 2 x WW brown danish toast (HEB) with 2 Hard boiled Eggs (Free)

    Snacks - Fruit (Free)

Lunch - Original - Ham & Cheese (HEA) Salad on a plate and my other x 1 WW bread (HEB)

Dinner - Green - plan for tea is to have a Tomato based pasta I think.(Free on Green)

    Does this look ok?

Ooh just looking at my diary there I have another HEB left so I can have a chicken pasta?? OOOH if thats right i like mix2 max if thats what its called (?).

I didn't know until someone mentioned in here you can have 3 x WW brown danish bread (400g loaf) as one HEB which is great. It tastes just like Hovis best of both.

    oooh no rush sweetie :-)

I have started doing my Diary on a spreadsheet now and done formulae to add up syns and keep a running total.

if anyone wants to see it and maybe have a bash at using it PM me and I'll send it you - also have a sheet on it where I intend to start creating a list of Free/lowish syn alternatives to bad foods. Lemme know if interested - PM me your eamil address and I'll send it to you.
