Judderman, sorry to hear you are having a s@!tty time of it hun, please bear in mind though that a 1/2lb gain is not a huge amount and that because of your blow out tonight like you say will have to be extra good for the rest of the week and I just don't want the take away to have a detrimental effect (not that it necessarily will) and if you don't get the desired result next week you feel the need to have another blow out, as from personal past experience it is a vicious and hard recurring cycle to get out of and you are doing so well.

Anyway enough of the negative, sorry about that, tomorrow is a new day for ya to start a fresh and I am sure you will be back on track and working hard :D:D We all here for support for ya, oh and why not try and make your own home made take aways? i made a curry tonight and it was delicious and totally free!! :P

Thanks red, I am pleased, I feel better already for it. I have 11 weeks of my countdown left and then I will prob buy another one.

My nan is confused a little (she isnt old and doddery btw shes only 65 so really quite young) as she gets mixed up to what she can and cant have but its the first few weeks and is to be expected so I am helping her out with meals and snacks. Have also shown her how to do the food diary sheets to help her keep a track of it. She has lost a lb so is happy (I think)

I bought the food directory as well and we are sharing that, makes it a bit easier for syn values.

I didnt know but when I was 16 I bought my self a gorgeous black dress and I never got round to wearing it because I was a size too big and now im 4 sizes too big but my nan has kept it all this time, would love to get into it. thats my ultimate goal. x

I did that broccoli bake from the latest mag and it was very tasty, however it did take a while and had a lot of ingredients so I found it a bit of a faf.
A couple of days later I took someones advice and has a broccoli pasta in sauce with added broccoli and threw a bit of vlf cheese from HA on top and it was very similar and took very little time to make. I really enjoyed it.
I also did the goulash, I threw all the stuff in the slow cooker and had it when I cane in from work, it is proper winter warmer food, it was lovely!

I made the bake from the mag last week too and froze it and it was lovely ;) i agree. I think next time I'd add another egg and FF as mine was a touch too dry once cooked and didn't have much sauce.

Ikkle - You'll be really suprised how soon you'll be able to get in to your dress and it's a great feeling when you do. I've gone down 3 sizes since February and last night I tried on a size 12 dress I bought for a party and it fits!! I'm over the moon and HONESTLY would never have thought i'd get in to it and lose 3 sizes on this diet. Good luck with getting there :j

OK guys n gals question if I may.

If I have decided I have had such a **** day , to end such a **** week (like today/this week for example) that I am not making anything to eat and going to have takeaway or ready meal , which of the following is least destructive to my weight loss endeavours:

    1) Fried rice with Curry and a chip muffin (my current fave choice)

    2) Haddock and Chips (sometimes accompanied by a buttered muffin ...... or two :o:o)

    3) A pizza (very large - 14 in) - potential;y a veggie one

    4) A ready meal - most often - Tesco Taste the difference (or whatever their posh/expensive versions are called) Red Thai Chicken Curry with Egg fried rice

    and lastly

    5) Chiese takeaway of Malaysain Chicken Curry with Rice ...ehm and sometimes chips too :o:o

    would appreciate pointers n opinions

    thanks

    J

I would probably have gone for the Haddock and chips but left the muffins alone! Try and leave some of the batter on the plate too. Count it as a green meal so the chips arn't so bad and the fish could be a heb and the batter you do eat could count as a few syns!
