  • Just to clarify - (iluvSW may not have seen your menu today) - you have used both B's today, so no chips tonight unless you syn them.

If you use old potatoes, skin on, 227g = 6 syns which isn't too bad really.

It really is worthwhile planning your days in *advance* - I start with dinner and work backwards, that way I don't use up my B's before tea if I need them ;) How about trying to plan for tomorrow now - we can help if you fancy

Catt gave you some fun ideas - gammon and eggs - great start.

ah! i didnt see that far back

I bought some red and green lentils today and dont really have any idea what to do with them! has anyone got any suggestions? Ive read somewhere that you can use them to bulk out other meals say a casserole or soup.

I quite fancy the lamb shank recipe from the most recent sw mag which I have already made and adapted slightly (added more spices). I could make that again and add lentils this time.

I guess I could also make a really nice vegetable curry - do mushrooms (once cooked in a curry) freeze well? I seem to have lots in my fridge at the moment. along with leeks, peppers, sweet potatoes etc. mmmmmm

  • Hello everyone..... I used to be in a group which was brilliant but I have had to leave due to finances.....

Now I am going to need all the support I can find so this site will be a godsend - I have been reading it for ages now but not really posted so here goes... I have to admit that since I left my group I have lost the plot

I used to use lentils in lasagne, instead of mince with loads of veggies like courgette onions tomato's etc.

Thought I would join in with this daily menu thingy, if you don't mind

    Today - GREEN

Breakfast - 1 Oatso Simple (HB) made with milk from HA

Mid morning - Banana (free), Alpen Light Chocolate Orange (0.5 HB) and Shape Lasting Satisfaction Yoghurt (free)

Lunch - Jacket Potato with baked beans and vlf cottage cheese - all free
and Alpen Light Chocolate and Fudge (0.5 HB)

Mid afternoon - apple (free), banana (free)

Supper - Batchelor pasta and sauce (made with extra pasta as this will double for my lunch tomorrow), left over syn free rice pudding from last night (free but includes milk from HA)

    Syns - 2 slices brown toast (7) with low fat spread - (3) = 10

I normally dont eat bread but I didn't have my supper till quite late and needed a boost of something hot when I got in from work.

Drinks - Tea with sweetener (and milk from HA) and water with Robinsons No Added Sugar Tropical dilute

    Hope this helps someone :o
