Well done on some great weight losses ladies!!:j
Did anybody else see the SW Woman of the Year 2008
This lady lost 10.5 STONES after being so ill and overweight that she was just days away from having gastric band surgery.
Can you believe she also quit smoking? Now this lady really is something else!! She looks fantastic and is now very healthy.

Yes I saw her on GMTV this morning. Didn't hear that she was on SW (was in the kitchen) but heard she loved potato's, pasta and rice so I guessed!

I didnt see her on GMTV but my nan was telling me about her. Thats the kinda loss I could do with, but I am in it for the long haul. Are any of you pychic cos I have lost my slimming world red and green cookbooks lol. Tis what happens when you hoard things.

Does any one know the syn value of kendal mint cake? I would imagine it is quite high with it being made from almost pure sugar, my nan had a piece I said no and just had a sniff of LB's lol.

WD Louby on your loss!! xx

Right, lets sort you out :D

    You are red today

You have still got an HA to have - piece of cheese? check your book for weights and measures....

You could finish you HA of milk with a nice cup of milky coffee tonight (or hot choc if you want to use some syns on the powder)

You can snack on as much superfree (on the orange pages) or free on red food as you fancy - wrap your cheese in ham, veggies dipped in quark, skinless chicken drumstick, crab sticks, tuna and quark mixed to make a dip for veggies........

You haven't had any syns today, so treat yourself tonight - could be a biscuit or a glass of wine or that hot choc or something else - but check the syns *before* you eat it!!!! You should aim for 5 - 15 per day.

    hth
that is fab the way you wrote all that angie.....
If people post on here their menu would give us all ideas.....i cant get my head round sw at all...
  • well done folks on your losses.

    I weighed in tonight & lost 1lb

At first i was a bit disapointed,I thought i would do better but i've followed the plan - not been hungry & i will lose more next week, so i feel better now.
For those of you whose weigh in is yet to come
    good luck

just a quicky, is it necessary to have some syns each day?

i missed class tonight and therefore the pw  can anyone pm me please - its been a bad few weeks (one stay the same and 2 gains) and if I had gone tonight it would have been another gain! so from when my head touches the pillow tonight, I am going to be 100% good until I weigh in next tuesday and eat lots of free food and be a complete :A

I think I'm going to be the same on Thursday when I have WI. I seem to keep losing and gaining the same 1lb for weeks now. My motivation gets better and I lose 1lb, then I get fed up and have a few too many syns (basically I get invited out and I think 'sod it!') and either STS or gain.

It was so much easier in the beginning. I keep wondering how I can get my mind in the same place. I think my motivation has dipped because I look better so have less reason to carry on. I wish I could get my mind round the fact I don't look fine (yet), I still need to lose some more!

    Morning

Just thought i'd pop in to read everyones posts to keep me motivated.

I also want to add that I tried SW chips last night and they were GORGEOUS (I know shouting at this time in the morning is probably a bad idea so sorry). I actually preferred them to hm fried chips and they were miles better than the rubbish you can buy. Woohoo. Is it right I can have these as HEB on red day as long as I leave the skin on???

    Cheers

ikkle - yes you should have some. They're part of a balanced diet and stop you from feeling deprived then failing because you can't have something. You don't have to have them every day, but you shouldn't rule them out every day either. HTH

eveie - yes you can have them on red too - but you have to weigh them first - 198g IIRC but do check in case I'm wrong!
