Hi everyone well i joined SW on Thursday but only started the diet yesterday.

Im finding it really hard on knowing what i can and shouldn't eat

    yesterday i had

    Breakfast
2 slices of wholemeal toast with thinly spread low fat butter and a shape yoghurt

    Dinner
1 wafer thin chicken and salad sandwich with salad

    Snack

    1 apple, 1 pear and 1 banana

    Tea

Bacon with fry light chips and weight watchers beans

    that was it.

But by the end of the night i was hungry but didn't fancy any more fruit or yoghurt. What else could i have apart from that?

    Many thanks

    Steph xx

Did you syn your 2nd bread or beans as you've had too many HEB's? Was your yoghurt fat free otherwise this is syns too? I'm guessing that was a red day? You could have an Alpen Light bar for 3 syns, or any cold ('unadulterated') meat to pick on as a snack. Did you drink enough? Sometimes we mistake hunger for thirst. You could have had your cheese HEa as a snack (dairylea Light/Extra Light triangles or Babybel lights etc)

    Typical red day for me;
Eggs and bacon (and sometimes mushrooms) for brekkie
Quorn or beef chilli (without kidney beans)/Beef curry/sausage sandwich for lunch
Chicken, stuffed with garlic quark wrapped in bacon with green beans or salad and a HEb jacket pot for dinner
Snacks - babybels, fruit, mullerlight yoghurt, cold cooked chicken/prawns, Alpen bars (two as a HEB) or Hi-Fi bars (only from class = 1 HEB)
2litres of water plus the odd can of Diet Coke/Diet Lemonade. Cup of tea and the Hi-Fi (if I didn't have it earlier) before bed.

HAving a good day today (food wise anyway) I should have weighed myself today but my oh took the scales to Dundee with him so will have to get my mums tomorrow.

today I had (and still to have ) Grren day

Brekkie - natural yoghurt, strawberries, blueberries, banana

lunch - 3xWW brown danish with 85g of ham (HEB) and egg mixed with 1 tsp of light salad cream (2 syns i think) made it into a triple decker
    1x Satsuma

Dinner - Spinach Gnocchi from current SW mag (i hope as long 3 hours chilling is enough for the mixture) going to have broccolli with it. Free but using the cheese as my HEA

    pudding Shape yoghurt, apple

Supper ) I may have a kitkat and a cup of tea later but depends if im hungry

Ive also drunk loads of water and used most of my milk (other HEA) in tea.

  • I was having a red day yesterday and having a red day again today.

The yoghurt was a fat free shape on with the slow food release thing.

It seems dead confusing on what you can and can't have on red and green days ha ha im sure i'll get the hang of it soon

why dont you post what you are having today and maybe what you plan for 2morro and see if we can help. As Skint catt pointed out, you had too many healthy extra B's. You will get the hang of it, I started to get it, in my 2nd week. Red days are what i call Meaty meaty, basicly mostly meat, veg, salad etc, but you can also have eggs. Then you r healthy extras coupld be 2 slices of nimble bread (400g loaf) then maybe potatoes with dinner as the other one, or cereals bars.

A green day is your potato, beans, pasta, noodle day, these are al free then your healthy extra B's can be bread of meat (see online or your handbook for amounts) again eggs are free. I seem to do mostly green days as i love loads of pasta and jacket potatoes and omlettes. i usually have neutral options (omlettes, toast with cheese etc) til dinner time then I can still choose if i will go red or green with dinner. hope that makes sense. just keep asking questions, thats what I do.

I don't think you are eating enough hun, you shouldn't be feeling hungry on Slimming world. If you are having yoghurt at breakfast why not get some fresh fruit to have as well as this will fill you up.

Lunch you can have lots of meat on a red day, so maybe instead of bread as a heb you could have a jacket potato instead then pile your plate with salad, meat and maybe vlf cottage cheese.

I know you said you don't really want loads of fruit and yoghurts, could maybe have 3 cheese triangles, 9cant remember the brand as I dont eat em) these would be a HEA and one snack.

I have a thing about munching on sweet peppers at the minute. mmm.

If you are stuck for ideas of meals or puddings and snacks then there are suggestions in the magazines, and on the slimming world site too.

1 Shape fat free yoghurt (free?) coul have had fruit as well

    Lunch

1 wafer thin chicken (free on red hope you had lots!) and salad (free - hope you had lots!) sandwich on wholemeal bread HEB

    Tea

1 Chicken Breast (free could have had 2!) with fry light chips with skins on (HEB) and gravy (syns) with brocoli, cauliflower and carrots. (all free - pile the plate!)

You have still got an HA to have - piece of cheese? check your book for weights and measures....

You could finish you HA of milk with a nice cup of milky coffee tonight (or hot choc if you want to use some syns on the powder)

You can snack on as much superfree (on the orange pages) or free on red food as you fancy - wrap your cheese in ham, veggies dipped in quark, skinless chicken drumstick, crab sticks, tuna and quark mixed to make a dip for veggies........

You haven't had any syns today, so treat yourself tonight - could be a biscuit or a glass of wine or that hot choc or something else - but check the syns *before* you eat it!!!! You should aim for 5 - 15 per day.
