Hi all,
I am joining SW on Wed so am glad to find this thread. Am very nervous but want to loose weight to be matron of honour for my best mate in August next year.
Can I ask - I am going food shopping tomorrow what foods are your essentials? Thank you0 -
Green day Essentials (sounds like an album name :rotfl: ); eggs, baked beans, pasta, grated low fat cheese, nimble bread, mug shots, Tesco Value savoury rice, loads of fruit, frozen mixed vegetables, baked potato's & white potato's (for SW chips!), low fat cottage cheese, syn-free drink of choice!

just back from weigh in and tucking into a jacket spud and Asda chickpea Dahl. lost 1lb this week, making a total of 2 stone 4lb. im very happy with this as ive not been very well since wednesday (depression suddenly took hold for some reason) so I have been comfort eating for a few days. however, have to say, syn free rice pudding is soooooooooooooooooo nice when you are feeling under the weather! You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0

Hi scw
Once you have the plan 'in your hands' you will have a huge amount of info about what to buy, but if shopping is tomorrow, I would stock up with fresh fruit and veg and lean meat. Other things might include cottage cheese and wholemeal bread.
I would check my cupboards for tinned tomatoes, dried herbs, pasta, rice, potatoes, baked beans, eggs. I use bovril (beef and chicken in jars only) for stock as this is 'free'. Diet drinks, sugar free squash etc.
Until you understand how the plan works, I wouldn't buy anything processed/ready made (these are allowed, but you may choose different ones once on SW)0 -
Oh and if you're going to Morrisons they do syn free sausages - always worth having to hand! Eat Smart Pork Sausages (chilled) pack of 8 - £1.99.0

Oh, and good luck by the way - nice to have you on the forum0

OOOh didn't know they were Syn free
Not terribly tasty, to my pallet, but best of a bad bunch I've tried thus far.
Having SW chips and the Baked Bean Lasagne (again) should be ready in about 5 - put loads of chilli flakes in it - think I mighta overdone it :eek::rotfl::rotfl:Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
