    Hi guys

Need some advice and reassurance I think. I've been going to my group since January and I've got to stop going because of changes in my working situation. But I'm really nervous about telling my leader! It's daft really - I never stay for the group as I find it intimidating and feel like I don't fit in that well because I'm quite a lot younger than the others. Silly, I know, but I got annoyed with all the comments about my being a student etc etc and assumptions that I don't know how to cook etc. But I've kept going to be weighed as my motivation was +++ and I've lot over 4 stone. I'm thinking I might just leave and not bother to move to another group, but I know that's a bad idea... I've already put a couple of pounds on this week after missing last week.

Hmm... I guess what I'm asking is... has anyone had experience of moving groups and how easy it is? I'd like to keep my record as it motivates me just looking at the tumbling numbers.

Well done Mina on that massive loss of 4 stones!!:j :j Don't be nervous about telling your leader. I firmly believe honesty is the best policy. You can say things in a positive way without being offensive or rude. If we all said what we thought more often, I'm sure life would be easier.

    well said pennylane,
we often skirt around things then dont actually do anything about it, we then get annoyed with ourselves and berate ourselves for being soft or foolish. Go to your consultant Mina tell her you are sorry but the time of her class is not convienient anymore because of commitments, she will understand and will encourage you to go elsewhere instead of just stopping going altogether, you have done extremely well and im sure she would want you to continue losing no matter where you do it, afterall its their job to encourage us and help us lose our excess weight.
    youll be fine im sure.

In the end as I had to go out before reading your posts I had the chicken rogan josh and 2 chapatis but now reading this I have gone over my points.
I had looked at what a wholemeal roll was if not a HE and it was the same syn value as a chapati and that's why I had thought I could have it.
I didn't have a starter but asked the guy and he said it is just mince with no extra fat and they cook it on a grill which he showed me.
So in the end it looks like I have used way over my points.
I am still trying to get my head round things, I had hoped when I started the consultant would have given ideas for recipes etc but I know only in my first week but she only went round telling people what they had lost.
I have heard some people say there are good curries to make which I would like if anyone can point me in the right direction for any recipes.

    Thanks for your help
    Jules

in group you consultant should have a load of recipes on the table which are free for you to take also she should have all the recipe books lying around too so if you take a pen adnpad you can jot down some you like after you have been weighed while waiting for the weigh in to end, this is what i do.

i am feeling very positive...went to the pub last night and drove...so no alcohol and no sneeky drunken pizza on the way home.

I am really trying to eat free and often...as I am always a hundred milles an hour and forget to eat and before I know it my head is in the sweet tin!!

Of to go on my strider now and take kids to the park, I am determind to have a really good weight lose this week...I have been kidding myself recently and having extras that I have not been counting xx

Having a good day today, Ive just finished using up my Halloween pumpkin i bought for £1.50 last week. At the beginning of the week I made Pumpkin Ghoulash that was free on Green, on the 2nd night I made it into a curry and had it with rice, also free on Green. I also had loads to freeze.
I just used the other half of my pumpkin and made Carrot, pumpkin and lentil soup also free on green and loads to freeze. These dishes were all really cheap and stuff my toddlers will happily eat also, so that makes life a whole lots easier.

Tonight I will be having the soup with 2 slices of nimble bread (HEB) and ive saved syns for a couple glasses of wine. and i may make SW chips to munch along with the wine so I dont feel like crisps

hope you are all having a nice weekend

me again, can anyone tell me if i make a rice pudding, using pudding rice, splenda, milk from HEA and counting 2tsp of clover light into my syns, is the rest free?
I fancied making something yummy for after dinner, the only other thing i was going to add is a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.

I cant see why it wouldnt be free as everything just gets bunged in and put in the oven for 2 hours.

they have changed the way they ask for your passwords so now you have to enter your personal password first followed by the group password you get each week. the passwords are also case sensitive.
