  • Hi everyone,

I joined sw for the second time last wed as my weight has been creeping up since i left and despite trying other diets it is the only one that seems to work for me (i love pasta and potatoes and even quorn sausages, which makes me crazy according to my sw group! :o ).

I have been reading through the thread and there is loads of good advice and i think it will really help, especially mid week when i get over the initial high of wt loss (hopefully anyway) and before i think oh god, i better buckle down coz its weigh day soon.

Anyway, i'll stop waffling now, thanks everyone.

Welcome caroljayne and jess! We all here to help each other and there's no such thing as a silly question - we all had to learn somewhere!

Anyway, a bit of a shock announcement! (Still getting used to it myself) I'm 'leaving' SW! :o

As much as its second nature to me (after 6 years!) its just not working for me for the last 6 months however good or bad I am. I'm off to try something else (Slimfast :o ) until Christmas. SW is a great plan and I know I'll come back to it as it suits me very well (loving the potato's, pasta and most Quorn too!) (And I have lost 6stone in total on it!)

I'll be around for any help I can give (I'm not always right but I do try!) but I hope you'll all understand!

I used to do that until I realised with Mix 2 Match you don't have to so I don't do that any more :D:D
I never did have Mix 2 Max explained :o - or success express for that matter - so in my ignorance I only stick to what I know - anyone know where I can get a decent description of how these work?

  • Well, back from weigh in and I'm delighted to report a loss of 3.5lb, which brings my total loss to exactly 3.5 stone. 7 weigh-ins left before Xmas so I am going to try my damnedest to get that 4 stone award for Xmas!

Good luck to everyone this week,
    TG xxx

  • Well done tractorgirl327. Good luck for getting your award for christmas. I saw in your signature that you are doing a £ for a pound challenge but I can't find the thread for it and i would like to join in. Is it just through this thread? Thanks

Ooh, who is your Consultant? What was the interview about? I'm very nosy you see :D

Re: the lasagne 'Doritos' - I couldn't have explained it any better than Skint_Catt, they are classed as misuse of a free food by SW head office.

My consultant is Claire who runs York Classes, shes on the front of the recent Slimming World Mag

My first attempt at Slimming World chips last night turned out yummy!! I actually prefer them to usual fatty chips. boiled them for 5mins then they only took 20mins in the oven & were lovely & soft & fluufy in the middle but crispy on the outside.. will definately be having them again!!

Edit: I've got some Mince Beef which needs using up tonight, does anyone have any meal ideas? although something easy as I'm not a great cook :o:o
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

    It's here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1062453

But it seems to have fallen by the wayside. No posts on the thread since the end of September :(

Oh Catt - you will *so* be missed if you don't pop to keep us on the straight and narrow!

I hope that you find trying something else is a positive change for you - it sounds like you have set yourself a time frame, and I know you will give it your best shot - I sincerely hope you get the results you deserve.:T You have lost an AMAZING 6 stone over the years, maybe you just need a shake up with this new plan, and then you will come back when you are ready to either lose a bit more, or maintain what you have achieved.

    Best of Luck Catt :D
