250g of plan boiled noodles are free on green and 15.0 sysn on Red, therefore your nest of 50g will only be 3 syns.

Edit: Or why not go green as you dont seem to have had any other red stuff today so far - and have loads of noodles and no prawns (or a few and syn them as you have had 2 HB's).
OH FAB.....thats dinner sorted then....will have the whole nest at 50g
along with my prawns and stirfry veg.........

Hi I'm new to the forum. Joining (rejoing after 4 years) SW tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can lose most of the 6 stone I lost last time and have put back on!! Had a lot of fun gaining the weight back but probably would have had just as much sticking to the plan and wouldn't feel so fat and unhealthy now. Anyways will try my best and set some mini goals.

Goal 1: lose 1 stone by Xmas

Doable I think but have got a long weekend away planned for early December
  • Niceday you can go to any group you like regardless of which one you joined to start off with, so if you're busy that evening one week just pop along to another with your book and get weighed as normal, or if you want to leave that group permanently just ask her for your record card and take that to the new group.

    Sry snipped you.

Yeah you can have a green day Monday and Red Tuesday etc or all red or all green, you can even mix 2 max which I have not got my head around yet - but you can have both in the same meal! Someone else will have to explain that one as I dont do it (because I dont understand it:o ) .

I dont eat much bread but love potatoes and so I tend to do mainly green days.
You have to try to be creative with your use of HB's, for example instead of having cereal every morning, have yoghurt with fruit or bacon and poached egg and you can save your HB's (saying that I ALWAYS have 2 weetabix every morning), but you get my drift, you dont have to have a sandwich at lunch you can have a reheated (free) meal from yesterdays dinner which saves 2 HB's for Dinner later in that day. Im rambling now but you get my drift.
I could easily eat 6 HB's a day but I guess thats why I'm fat in the first place ;)

    Welcome fat50 (love the name ;) ).
Keep checking in here for some good advice and motivation from these brill people. You should set your signature up with your first taget (see mine below) and each week change it to show how much you have achieved! Good luck with SW.

Don't forget to weigh and syn your prawns now you're having a green day as you've used your two HEb's.

No, you pay your joining fee once, then you can go to any group as a guest and just pay the weekly fee. The group you paid your joining fee too will remain your main group and you shoudl try and go there first as they hold your record card - or you can ask the consultant to transfer you (pretend you can't make that night anymore or something!)

    :T :T Congratulations Nic and Moose! Brilliant losses.:T :T

Welcome back naturally - this is my second attempt and I came slinking back to this thread a few weeks ago too. I think you are right to mix the plans up if that is what works for you, a very restrictive plan always produces a great weight loss (if you stick to it that is) but it is rarely sustainable. I feel a bit like that about these lighter life and slimfast programmes (sorry skint_catt :o ) too, they give the results but you have to re-train yourself after you finish to eat normally again, some people can do it no problem and some can't.

My opinion is that a healthy weight loss programme is about finding a sustainable way that works for you that you can adapt and carry on throughout your life.

Good luck with it and keep us informed.

No worries Kandi - I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I've joined a SlimFast forum though and you would be surprised how many of them are trying to teach themselves to eat correct portions and generally healthily so its not such a shock or difficult when they come off it.

I agree I would never be able to sustain it (though some people have done 8+ months ) I'm just using it as a boost for my SW life - my body has got too used to SW after 6 years so needs a shake up and then I'll go back to it. :D
