    Hello

It is start of week 4 for me and to be honest I have had a really bad couple of days.

I totally maxed out on my syns on Friday and then yesterday I felt really Meh......really struggled to eat much at all.

Today I feel a little better but my stomach still feels a bit dodgy:o

    Breakfast
Low fat Yoghurt and a Banana (1.5 syns)

    Lunch
Vegetable omelette with reduced fat chedder(HEA)

    Dinner
    Quorn chilli and steamed rice

    Snacks
    2 x Ryvita original (HEB)
    Skimmed milk for tea (HEA)

Sorry to have a bit of a rant but some people are really annoying me:mad: I need to loose 14lbs OK, but I suppose looking at me I may not seem obviously overweight to others. The thing is I feel uncomfortable in my clothes and dont feel happy with my weight.

comments like "Theres nowt on you" or "Why the hell have you joined SW"? someone has even said "I dont know how you dare complain about your weight"...........I dont want to feel ashamed that I am wanting to shed those extra lbs to make me feel more comfortable and confident but I am now almost frightened to open my mouth about SW plan:( ......Rant over.

By the way, no one has said anything thoughtless on this forum, only in "real life".
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • Hi Louise...

when I started SW (back in April.. ) a few people asked why I felt the need to lose weight at all!! From my starting weight, I consider that I would like to lose about 2.5 stones, and possibly because I am quite tall people didn't notice that I was wearing a size 18 ('surely you are only a size 12') and felt rubbish.

I quickly worked out that it was easier to 'discuss' my BMI rather than my weight - if I said 'I need to lose 2 1/2 stone', people said 'oh no you don't'. If however I say - I want to get my weight into the healthy BMI range for my height, no one (yet) has come back to me on that one - by focussing on my reasons for doing SW as 'health' (which is often considered important) rather than 'weight' (which can be considered as vanity), I seem to get a lot more support...

SW jacket chips are now my favourite food of all time :j but on occasions they turn out perfect and other occasions not so perfect!

so which potato do you find makes the perfect jacket chip? I tend to use the maris piper potatoes but at £1.98 for a 2.5 kg bag, this is pricey compared with the bag of market value white potatoes you can now get from Mr T for £0.78 !

Ive bought a bag of each this week and mixed them up to see if I notice any difference but Im preparing my order for next week and not sure what to pick! and whether to try charlotte potatoes which Im sure someone mentioned on here.

    Hiya FE

the last 2/3 times I used smaller spuds - I'm pretty sure they were Charlotte - and they were waaaaay, waaaay better and more easy to get right - I usually mess up using Maris Piper and doudbt I will ever go back to using them.

Maybe you could try some charlotte or other small ones ?

Flat eric - I did small wedges using charlotte pots as they were all I had in the fridge - and they were wonderful, plus they took no time at all to cook!
Lousie and Angie - i feel for you guys, it amazes me how people dare to comment, surely its a personal choice and if you dont feel happy with the weight/size you are then its no one's business but yours. The only time I would dare comment would be if my size 6-8 friend was on a diet to get even thinner - then it would be out of genuine concern but other than that - each to their own. Personally I am rather heavy, but i'm in a size 18-20 clothes and I dont think I look as heavy as I am, and I dont want to be a size 8 after this I only want to be a comfortable size 14-16. My own mother (usually wonderful) said to my DH a few weeks back, supposedly as a complement 'dosen't she have a beautiful face, if she was thinner all the men would be chasing her' !!!! And she was amazed that it upset me. Hey ho!

Kandi - my mother says similar things, but thats typical of her. She's never been supportive of me on SW even though a day doesn't go by (when I speak/see her anyway) that she doesn't criticise me about my weight, or actually poke me with her finger in my spare tyre which makes me want to cry.

When I lost 3.5stone last time (but still had over 1 stone to go and was still overweight for my height) she kept telling me not to lose anymore and that I'd lost enough! Needless to say I didn't make it to target and put it all back on. Now I'm struggling to lose that amount again (not under her roof anymore) but she's always got something to say.

Judderman thats sounds fab. I'm having a REALLY lazy day today ( before starting Wii Fit again tomorrow - hope my knees hold out...) - watched iPlayer in bed until midday, got up now I'm snuggled on the sofa in a duvet watching more iPlayer and Eastenders omnibus!

Egg, Bacon and Spaghetti for brekkie
    Savoury Rice for lunch and
planned Pasta, beans & cheese for dinner.

Feel very guilty though as we took my car down to my FIL's yesterday and spent 7 hours trying to replace the clutch (hadn't even got the transmission out by the end of the day!). OH had to leave at 4pm to play a gig and I came back to a warm home. He would have got in at 2am this morning, and up early to go back to the garage to finish my car. I will treat him like a prince this week but I feel soooo guilty!
