Hellooooooo:hello:
did ya miss me? :rotfl: I've just got back to blighty after a week in Spain with mum and dad... :snow_grin Blimey its cold over here! :rotfl:
Ho hum - had a nice week, and largely stayed on track..... breakfasts and lunches were spot on..... dinners (eaten in restaurants every night!) I made super good choices, with extra veg to account for the lost chips :A Only problem really was my alcohol consumptionwhich I enjoyed alot, but was very much well over my daily allowance... oops
Ho hum, weigh in on Tuesday, so I have 4 days to minimise the damage... I think the damage amounts to 2 or 3 lb ish
I have just read through 7 pages  so must say a big hello to all our new friends, and glad to hear tractorgirl is back (and doing so well!!).... there have been some fab losses over the last week, with Slimmers OTW and special awards too
Exciting news about a new plan for the new year - will this be an alternative (like mix2max etc) or will it be a restructuring of the main plan I wonder0 -
Congratulations :T :T :T thats fab :j :j :j well done
Where did you get the recipe for baked bean lasagne and what hot chili sauce do you use? I could eat the encona sweet chilli sauce till it was coming out my ears but hot version sounds intriguing !!!
Hiya FE
this was the one I used :
Baked Bean Lasagne
Ingredients
Free on Green if using the cheese as an Healthy Extra, otherwise add 6 syns.
(Serves approx 4)
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 red peppers, de-seeded, chopped & sliced
- Mushrooms (optional)
- 2 tins baked beans
- 2 tins chopped tomatoes
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Garlic
- Splash of Worcestershire sauce
- Splash of soy sauce
- Lasagne sheets
- 168g reduced fat cheese, grated
- Fry-light.
Cooking Instructions
Fry the onions, peppers & mushrooms in Fry-light until soft. Then add the bean and chopped tomatoes and include salt pepper and garlic as desired.
Add a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce / soy sauce and mix all together.
Build the lasagne layers in a casserole dish, alternating tomato mixture with lasagne sheets. Cover with foil and bake in oven for 30-35 mins (200*c)
Uncover, sprinkle cheese on top and bake for further 5 mins
Serve with salad and Slimming World chips. Yum.
My instructions say that the top layer should be the toms/baked beans mix and I concur that Sw chips go supremely well with it - I made my last two lots with Charlotte spuds and much prefer them to Maris Piper that I ahd been using.
The chilli sauce ? hang on trip to the fridge (think it may be Blue Dragon )
Back from fridge - yup Blue Dragon - no idea if it's free though - anyone know ?Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
Hi guys am new to this site but just spotted this thread and thought would say hi as been at SW since Jan this year and its a great diet.
I'm not sure whether this has been put up before on here but I really didn't fancy going through 300 and odd pages to check.
If your feeling peckish and want something naughty but don't wanna use up precious syns then one thing that I do is crisps made from lasagne sheets - they not good as a snack every night as you eat a lot more in crisp form than you ever would in a lasagne but they technically free crisps on a green day.
1)Boil the lasagne sheets for a couple of mins until they go slightly softer then remove from the pan and cut in to whatever shape crisps you fancy (i do squares cause you dont really need to do much work for that)
2)spray a baking tray with the lovely fry light and place the pasta crisps on then spray again with the fry light - at this point you can add a flavour such as salt and pepper, chilli, I use paprika most of the time - put in for roughly 5 mins then turn and put some more flavouring on and put back in oven till golden.
3) I like to add my healthy extra A of cheese on the top and pop them under the grill for a min or so, then its like nachoshope it helps some of you
