I have some figs in my fridge that need using up. I did buy them to make the recipe in the SW mag - the one with the meringues/orange zest etc but dont fancy that and wondered if anyone else had any ideas?

My calendar came with last years Nov/Dec mag (has receipes for every month) and I've just got next years calendar with this months mag. Ongoing SW calendars! :j

Sue - you don't like pasta?!  I can't live without my pasta! What did you put on it? maybe we can find some nicer free sauces? Or you could try the batchelors Pasta n Sauce packets - the tomato one is very nice and the cheesy one is lovely and warming and comforting for these cold dark days!

Do you like rice? You can use quorn mince for a free chilli on green with unlimited rice, or quorn pieces (texture of chicken) for a lovely free curry! I love Tesco Value/Asda Smartprice Golden Vegetable Savoury rice for lunch - totally free and cheap too! :j Don't forget you can have a huge jacket potato with low fat cottage cheese and salad (I like the Asda onion and chive flavour - not overly keen on cott cheese generally though!)

You are all doing so well! I lost the plot yesterday and have been naughty again today. Mmm... tomorrow is another day I need some time to sit and plan my meals thats the key I think for me, I need to be organised. *pouts* I just want to be a bit less fat x

• Before I start, I should say that this morning I had such good intentions....

Last minute invite arrives to celebrate a friends 40th with a slap up, paid for:money: lunch at a *great* local resaurant....

decided on red

B - yog (F) and banana (SF)

L - champagne (1/4 bottle - 6 syns), starter, butternut squash, mushroom and reblouchon (cheese) tart (pastry) with large side salad. main - salt lamb, cavalero nero, roasted and crushed potatoes. desert - meringue and red fruit compote, declined the cream.

I don't think I made toooo bad choices (seeing other peoples, I did quite well), so I am pleased with myself, but WOW it was delicious!

D (like I need much!!!) will be mussels in a very simple, syn free sauce of some sort....

I can eat spaghetti (usually covered by a shed load of bolognaise though) I'm going to try different sauces in the hope I can find one I like. Youngest DD likes the look of the macaroni cheese recipe in the latest mag but to be honest I can't even stomach making it. (I sound like a real baby :))
Anyway I would be very grateful for all suggestions for pasta sauce. :o

If you like spicy then this is a very nice one with fuselli or penne pastas (or even spaghetti I guess!)
subtitle_chilli_pasta_sauce.gif Serves: 1
Syns per serving:
Free on Green and Original (add 6 Syns on Original if not using beans as a Healthy Extra)
Ingredients
1 carton of passata
113g can red kidney beans in chilli sauce
onion
chilli powder
cumin
garlic
mushrooms
Fry light
Method
Fry the onions, mushrooms and garlic in Fry Light until onions are translucent. Add the passata, chilli beans, cumin and chilli powder and simmer for 20 minutes.

If you make your Spag Bol with Quorn mince instead of meat mince the whole lot is completely free so go for as much sauce and as little pasta as you like! Also try lasagne using quorn mince - you don't even notice the pasta in it!
