I love banana cake!!! Do you make it as a sort of small loaf in shape? I haven't made one of these for ages (mainly because Im the only one in the house that will eat it) but I think they're yummy!
Banana bread freezes fantastically - cut into slices, wrap and freeze! That way you can make one and enjoy it slowly0 -

There's nothing you can't have on SW - inc the synned noodles/quorn burgers! Have a quorn burger for dinner on a green day in a wholemeal bun (HEb) with lettuce, tomato and cheese (Hea) and LOADS of SW chips.
I tend to eat as free as possible at every meal - so that I CAN incorporate these syns when they pop up! I'm certainly not restricted (except for alcohol but thats no bad thing!)

It is restricted compared to my free for all eating sessions prior to this! It wouldn't work if it wasn't restrictive. You can't have alcohol, crisps and chocolate. You pick one of them. And I think a bit of self control does me good....Doesn't stop me resenting thin people in my life that eat what they want though!
I only do green days as I am veggie and he sees me eat the same things all the time. I get home late and don't feel like cooking so a jacket potato goes in the microwave and a tub of cottage cheese gets poured over. There is no way I would waste 5 syns on a meal. meals are free and HEs. Syns are for extras!I saw two shooting stars last night

I have a lovely recipe for my Grannys Banana 1lb. I was wondering if you make yours with splenda? I have tried this before and im sure I could taste it and I didnt enjoy it so much. I have a nice ripe banana begging to be used up, but I would know where to start calculating the syns in a slice. heres the recipe
5oz sr flour
2oz marg (i would use lurpak lighter)
5oz castor sugar
one ripe banana
1 egg
1/4 tsp bicarb
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla essence:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Hi nic. SR flour is 4 1/2 per oz
ordinary marg is 10 1/2 per oz
don't know abt the vanilla, but would guess it's free, and so is everything else if you use Splenda. So if you calculate the value of the whole thing, and then divide.....
Hope you can do it and enjoy it!! It sou nds really nice.

Hi everyone , hope you dont mind me jumping in here
,
Ive been reading this thread and am amazed at all the weight loss I have read.
I used to do SW years ago and lost 2 stone , only to go and put it all back on and more  , mainly due to ill health and tablets that help me put the weight on  .
My consultant has me on a very strict list of foods to avoid , because I have a rare sort of migraine disorder that gives me neurological effects , like being unable to walk properly.
The foods I must avoid include alot of SW basics......
hard cheese , tomatoes, onion, chocolate (whites ok),
aspartamine, yogurt and smoked foods, tea ,coffee.
Omg how am I gonna loose weight like this ?
If anyone has the SW password , I would be so gratefull so I can go check out my options.
Thanks for reading .Kindness costs nothing0 -
Last night I kept dreaming about cakes and caramel shortcake! I woke up in the mood for baking but not sure if any of the cakes/cheesecake recipes on the website are any good, anyone tried them? [quote]
- Hi, I've made the chocolate cake from online which was really easy and nice. It is the one with all bran, boiling water, drinking chocolate and orange zest&juice. You put it in the microwave and it's very nice.. cant remember the syns but it was online so should be there.
Can anyone help me with this ..

I've used the syn calculater online for a While's powdered milkshake sachet which is 99% fat free. It's telling me it's 6.5 syns. (The calorie count on the back of the packet incl 200ml of milk) If I use my allowance milk how much can i reduce the syn value by??0 -
Just to show how useless I am, I went to class this week and have now forgotten this week's password. The one I was using no longer works. Can anyone pm me the current one, please?I saw two shooting stars last night

lab dab - I'm guessing powdered milkshake hasn't as much calcium as proper milk so shouldn't be used as a HEa - you're denying yourself calcium which is part of a healthy diet. Usually a HEb is 6 syns. Not sure about HEa's.
Sorry I don't have this weeks password either as I couldn't make class last week and can't make it next week0 -
Yeah I missed last week's class, so I tried to use the one from 2 weeks ago and it doesn't work any more.I saw two shooting stars last night
