 Hi, this is my first post so if I've done anything wrong I appologise now!
I've been following the slimming world plan, all green days for a week now and was excited this morning to get weighed. I only lost half a pound! Should I carry on and put this down as a possitive or totally give up?
I've enjoyed the food I've eaten and my family have too but when I read the stories in my recipe books about people losing loads in their first week I'm more than a little disappointed.
    Any advice would be appreciated,
    Lisa

Green days tend to make some women hold a little more water, which of course can weigh quite heavy. Please try to drink extra water (at least 2½ litres a day) which will help to flush out the retained water (sounds daft I know, but it does work). Give yourself at least a couple more weeks of green days before beginning to panic as it can often take a while to get used to the plan.

Also do remember to measure yourself (bust, waist, hips) as the inches often come off quite dramatically even though you don't see much on the scales.

Keep going, I promise you, it really does work brilliantly!

Is Festive Fun a new book? I haven't heard of it before...

Festive Food & Fun is not new, but little seen with it being so seasonal I suppose.

Your Consultant should be able to order it for you. It retails for £2.95 and really is quite a nice book with recipes and other seasonal bits and pieces.

    Hi All.
I joined Slimming World again last week. 1st weigh in on Wednesday and a grand total of 0!
    I was gutted!
I have to say that the people in the group I've joined are wonderful. At the end of the meeting people were coming up to me and giving me lots of advice and support which was lovely. The result was...I wasn't eating enough syns. I was only eating on average 4 a day... so... my problem now is what to spend them on :)
Oh... and I wasn't taking all my b options AND when I was taking them it was on alpen light bars. I'm not going to eat them this week to see if that makes a difference.

    Hello Everyone!

Well didn't go to my regular group this week because I was away at my mums for a few days, went to one near her. I can report a loss of 1/2lb! Which I think is good considering I didn't each much slimming world friendly food at my mums! I am now only 1/2lb away from my 2 stone award! Hubby says I can definatley lose that in a week.

Ive seen it sell on Ebay this week for £8!!! I rang Slimming World and ordered the £2.95 one!

Thanks Kelly for the advice. I hate exercise. I went to a gym once and tried all the different torture instruments :p . Never got round to going back though. I have dogs that I take for walks all the time but I think I need more toning sort of exercise. When I was about 38 various bits of my body, ie upper arms, thighs and stomach all of a sudden went flabby for no reason. It was as though my muscles thought "Ive had enough. Not bothering any more!" Age I suppose!
