Thankyou Kandipandi and sueB, I can't believe how close I am to my 2 stone! I ahve my awards on my wall, there is a space reserved for that next one! Hubby is going to treat me in the New Year (doesn't know it yet! :) ) when I get closer to my 3 stone award, thats what I am aiming for by the end of the year.

When I started Slimming World in April this year I never thought I would stick at it or lose this weight, I am very pleased with myself. Even more pleased when I tried on several skirts this week, size 16, and they fit!!!! When I started I was wearing size 20 jeans!

  • Beachbeth - as we age we lose muscle mass so that's probably what's happened to you.I'm afraid losing weight won't help, only toning will! You need to build lean muscle mass then your flesh will have something to cling to again....use tins of beans as weights and get a yoga dvd,you don't have to sweat it out at the gym if it's not your thing.....frankly,I'm not one to talk about exercise regimes so I'll offer my advice and shut up now!

Has anybody tried the wholegrain bread from Lidl. The make is Landgut and it's rye bread (I think) with sunflower seeds. The slices are very thin and it has a strange texture but is rather nice.

I have about one slice a week (keep it in the freezer) and that's the only bread I have now. I'm having trouble finding out how many syns it is though. Have looked on-line and can't even find the make.

    Thanks in advance.;)

Def sounds like rye bread to me,think it still counts as an heb,and as there is no yeast or wheat in rye bread then you could have it more than once a week without any bloating or ill effects:T
One ounce is 3 syns the same as regular bread and I know you can have wheat and gluten free bread as an heb, which is what ryebread is,so I don't see why you can't have it as an occaisional heb?
    Maybe C31 can confirm/refute?!

The thing with HEBs is that they have to have a certain amount of fibre in order to fit the bill and, to be honest, I've no idea of the fibre content of rye bread. Maybe a call to SW head office would be the best way to find out.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi
I have just joined the Rhyl group, which is at the community fire station, which is where I work so very handy!
When I jumped on the scales I thought somebody else was standing on them also, I had a shock at how much weight I had put on.

I have followed SW before and lost 2 1/2 stone and I am determined this time.

Due to work commitments, I could not stay for class this week so have not got the password, is it possible that somebody could PM me the password as I would like to check up on something? I would be very grateful.

    Regards

    Sharon
