Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
Thank you Kelly and Consultant 31!
Just confirming it is definitely Rye Bread. The loaf weighs 500g and each thin slice weighs 50g according to my scales.

On the pack it says (for 100g) 221 cal, 7g protein, 37g carbs and 5g fat. The next bit confuses me 1 BE entspricht ca 29g.

Well done on joining SW - hopefuly it is the start of something great! Sorry no-one got back to you last night... I wonder if you did go for that vodka after all??!

Great to see your food for yesterday, but on a red day, the lunchtime jacket potato cannot be free, it is either weighed and counted as an HB, or it is syns. As you have counted your HB's through the say, it would have to be syns. If it was 200g ish, then 6 syns would be a fair guess. Your butter on toast will also be syns as you suggest, if we assume it was another slice of your nimble wholemeal, then 3 syns is fair. The mousse is 5.5 syns accordig to syns online. itbsp ketchup is 1 syn

So far, syns= 15.5, the vodka would add 2.5, assuming you measured 25ml...;)

So, not a bad day for your first day, I am sure you will have a great day today, have you planned your food already? Remember to keep checking your book, especially for the free foods, and keep writing it down :T :T

I could really recommend that you grab a copy of the Slimming World magazine - they have great menus in there, and can take some of the 'guesswork' away. I have heard that there is a new one out in classes, so it should be in the shops soon too :D If you are quick, you might be able to get a copy of last months and this months at the same time - not cheap to buy 2 at once, but good for lots of ideas...

Are you on a red day again? how about tonight keeping it simple - gammon chop/pork chop/steak/chicken breast and veg (broc/carrots/green beans etc etc)? People often recommend wrapping a chicken breast in bacon - that would be tasty :) You have used your 2 B choices (bread and cereal), so it might be best to avoid the pots/rice/pasta etc unless you want to syn them.

Sausages aren't free on red unless you have chosen the Eat Smart 3% ones from Morrisons which are the only free ones.

Personally, I think chinese is better on a green day (as the rice, noodles etc are free)

Basic/Non Branded Foods Chinese Restaurant, Chicken Chow Mein, average portion 380g serving

    red.gif Original 11½ Syns green.gif Green 7 Syns

One last thing, do you go to a class, or are you going this alone? The website is fab for food ideas recipe ideas etc, and checking your syns, and for the early days I found using the online food diary invaluable (it wont let you add anything 'incorrect' for the day)...
    take care
