    Hi All
I have been lurking and occasionally posted on here (thanks Skint Catt) but I just wanted to say I have been trying to do this whilst not actually going to the SW club.
I was feeling a bit p*** off with putting on 2lbs last week and was thinking should just forget it BUT on revising my signature today I have just realised that I have lost a total of 7lbs over the month and that isnt bad - is it???
I suppose the point of this observation is that if I just looked dead closely at the figures I did bad this week but overall it is still 7LBS!!:j
Thanks all for being there 'cos I wouldnt have had to fill in my sig if you weren't!
  • Hi Everyone. I just joined last week, so haven't had a weigh in yet. But so far I am liking this way of eating. I used to be on WW and felt so depressed when I ran out of things to eat. Tonight I am having chips with my cheese allowance melted over them and a garlic dip to go with it. All home made. I made a fab quorn lasagne. My only down fall is both Friday and Saturday I had 30 ish syns. (Its the wine). But all during the week, I am still under my total syn allowance. Is this OK, does this work for other people?
  • not sure how long it will last- but i've finally shed 1 stone in the last month:j

I really need to lose 3 stone more before i can fit into my dress for my sisters wedding in January.

I tried every diet under the sun- but soon realised nothing was working- so i took some tablets.
I checked on Yahoo and asked my doc if these pills were safe and he said YES, but of course was told not too expect a miracle and still eat healthily.

But these tablets have been amazing, i don't feel as hungry and the weight is dropping off- i just hope it continues :)

Anyways just thought i'd share that with you.

I often have most of my syns at the weekend and hardly any during the week. Some weeks it works for me and others it doesn't. The more you have to lose the more likely it is to work, I think, but it is a better idea to have 10 syns per day. On odd occasions I can have a night out and go way over my syns and still lose 1lb or so (when I stick to plan 100% I lose 3-4lbs), but I would concentrate on trying to lower the amount of syns you have at the weekend.

Hiya! Can someone tell me the syn value of the batchelors pasta n sauce are on green days? My mum (who did the diet years ago) says they are free, but syns online say they have a syn value?

Ive looked this up in my food directory:
Batchelors pasta n sauce bolognese, 126g
    chicken and mushroom, 122g
    chicken and roasted garlic, 120g
    creamy chicken and herb, 116g
    creamy tikka masala, 117g
    mild cheese & broccoli, 123g
    mushroom and wine, 128g
    tomato, onion & herb, 128g

are all free on green, remembering that this doesn't include any milk or butter that you may add.

Pasta n Sauce, carbonara 120g is 0.5 syns on green
cheese, leek and ham 120g is 1 syn on green
Macaroni cheese 108g is 1 syn on green.

Also excluding any milk or butter.

    Hope this helps.

I'm glad you think these tablets are working for you. However as your Dr says, you still have to eat healthily for them to work and if you eat the Food Optimising way (which is healthy and naturally cuts down on fatty foods) the weight would come off anyway.

It appears you're supposed to take at least 1 after every meal and 'not more than 9 a day'...............at a cost of £14.95 for 60 tablets - they're very expensive.

I'm so glad you're looking at your weight loss positively....... 7lbs in a month is perfect, not too much and not too little.
If you carry on at the same rate you could lose 6 stones in a year

My SW chips - I peel and cut potatos into chip shapes, then I microwave for 10mins. Then I do try to leave to cool a bit (though i find if I freeze them after this stage then cook them at a later date they do cook quicker). Then I spray with frylight and cook on the highest shelf at Gas 9 - and they still take over an hour

Just come back from a weekend in Blackpool to see the illuminations. Ate what I wanted (well since last Tuesday) but don't feel too bad about it - SW is ingrained in me so I still make SW choices without realising it! Haven't decided what i'm doing yet about SW/other diets. My consultant didn't come back to me after I replied to her text :(
