WOW just got back from my WI I needed to loose 1/2lb to get my 4st and I lost 6 so that means I only need to loose 1 & 1/2 to get 4 & 1/2 stone award. So pleased with that. If only these losses were more frequent!!
:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:WoW!!! Sethsgran!! THat's a great loss you must be sooooo pleased
Keep it up and you will have it all lost in no time!:j :j0 -
Hi everybody, I've been trying to catch up on the posts I've missed but there are so many of them! Well I had my week away, last week, and despite my very good intentions I kind of blew it ( Kind of!!!! Who am I kidding, I blew it big time). I ate and drank to my hearts content, I won't bother to list all the thoroughly naughty things that I had but if I whisper .............eton mess, profiteroles, clotted cream ............... you'll get the general idea. I came back and weighed myself on Saturday and, according to my scales had managed to put back on 5lbs . I had lost a total of 3st 4lbs until then so I decided some serious 'damage limitation' was called for before weigh in on Thursday. I've had a horrendous headache all week ( hence I've not been on pooter or posting) which I'm wondering if is something to do with all the extra sugar and booze I consumed. Anyway, I went to weigh in last night and the scales registered just a 1lb gain, which, considering everything, I'm very pleased about! I've decided it's time for a back to basics week this week, to try and shift that 1lb and a few more of the little blighters. I'm writing everything down, or at least I plan to! and will be weighing my syns and healthy extras etc. instead of my recent guesstimating. I've already had a pleasant surprise this morning when I discivered I'd not been having enough cereal for brekkie!. Sorry about the long post but if I tell you guys then I'm more likely to stick to it ! So if you could all keep me on the straight and narrow I'd be grateful! By the way am I the only one who seems to be hungrier now that the weather is getting colder? When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0

Glad you had fun whilst you were away lo-bush... your damage limitation worked well - its nice to know that you can 'relax' a diet like SW and still get back to where you were fairly easily.
I am hungrier with the colder weather - its our bodies needing to create extra fuel to keep us warm. You may have missed as you have been away, but I am adding an extra portion of fruit or veg to ALL meals - this bulks everything out of course, but also means I am just eating more of the superfree stuff, which is one of the reasons my consultant thinks my weight has stabalized.... I didn't think I needed to eat *more*, but extra veg is easy to add
Todays plan
B - banana(F) and yog(F) tea (milk from HEA)
tea, tea, 500ml water
L - 3 egg omlette (F) filled with mushrooms (F) and lots of homegrown tomatoes (F) and 42g feta (HEA), lettuce, cucumber, FF dressing, water, tea
D - will be meal out at Loch Fyne for DH birthday. I have saved my B's, so plan to have bread and potatoes. Eating there should be great as we can choose grilled fish and salads and veggies - I always ask for no dressing/oil/butter etc..... a gin and slimline (2.5) and a shared bottle of wine (12) will use my syns for the day
:A I have just baked THE most devine looking Medira cake for a local fundraiser...... I didn't even lick the spoon, and no crumbs have fallen off (yet!) :A0 -
shopping in my local sainsburys this morning, i picked up the following: -
munchkin baby pumpkin
4 passionfruit (reduced so need to eat soon)
some lean pork steaks
now these three items dont really go together and its not my intention to have all three at the same time!!!! but if you do have any ideas or suggestions for how they could be enjoyed then I would be very grateful.
NB I have decided I am going to make a SW friendly trifle tomorrow but intend to use the total greek 0% yogurt mixed with canderel for the cream topping rather than the birds dream topping which for the whole packet is 11.5 odd syns! this would mean the only syns i need to count are the jelly (not many) and the custard pot which if i split the trifle four ways, I think it amounts to about about 1.5 syns for the custard and 0.5 for the jelly but thats off the top of my head and might not be right!!!0 -

Im gobsmacked!!! There is no way I could bake a cake and not lick the bowl clean, never mind lick the spoon! Well done!:T Its funny because Ive been craving fairy cakes just lately and have been so tempted to make some - mainly so that I can lick the bowl! I haven't made any for ages and I love them! With some people its chocolate that does it. With me its cake!0 -

trifle ideas:
Total 0% with sweetener sounds fine, :T
Custard... you could just muller light banana and custard flavour if you wanted, that would keep those syns to zero and I think the banana flavour would be ok if it is a fruit trifle.
Use sugar free jelly then those syns will be tiny
Fruit - if you put fruit in it, don't forget that if you use tinned fruit it will be syns, fresh will be free!
Pumpkin - sorry I have no idea, maybe it would be good roasted?
Your passionfruit would be gorgeous in the trifle :T to eat them you cut off the top and scoop out the seeds with a teaspoon, a bit like eating a boiled egg.
... And I'll leave the red day experts to give you some ideas on the pork steaks0 -

You can also get the seeds out by cutting them in half, turning upside down and hitting them with a wooden spoon (a Nigella tip!) - works |AND releases tension - hurrah!!!!
Pork steaks can be a little dry if you're not careful - you could always casserole them - chop em up, add veggies and a chopped apple (syn or HE) and stock- cover and pop in the oven, serve with roasted wedges / chunks of the pumpkin - lovely0 -
Hi had a brilliant week last week but only lost 1lb when I know I deserved more but grateful it was a loss. This week I have tried out a few old recipes and just had a few new things also. Because I am so large up to last summer I couldn't walk far. I still get tired but I am determined never to be so unfit again so even if it's just around the shops I walk with more effort, faste etc, and this has helped. This week I have done a bit of walking so for me that is good.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
