Misty hugs to you :grouphug: I cried this week too as I put on 1.5lbs after weeks of trying so hard and only losing 0.5lb a time. Sometimes peoples comments can really hurt. My OH knows that last time I did SW I lost 3.5stone in 5 months - he asked me the other day 'why can't you do it this time then?'. That really stung. I don't know why I can't do it this time
Do you want to post each days food for us here to have a look at (good or bad days) then we might be able to suggest slight changes, or things you might be missing?
Have you spoken to your consultant yet? Mines always too busy (three classes one after the other) but she did text me this morning. I text her back saying I don't know what I'm doing wrong and its really getting me down but she hasn't repliedThere may be something through my door when I get home (hopefully not fast forward!) as she only lives a few houses up)

Ive also noted the chicken and laughing cow triangle/bacon recipe. It sounds yummy but I would be interested to know how long to cook the chicken for in the oven? as I was thinking of having chicken for tomorrow
I use garlic mixed with quark instead of laughing cow, and as I like to make sure the chicken is thoroughly cooked I usually bake the lot for about 40mins on gas 6 on a middle shelf. Don't forget to remove the fat from the bacon though!0 -
Well I unhappy to report a gain from last nights weigh in, 1.5lbs on! I think its because there has been alot of junk in the house due to hubby having packed lunches for the past couple of weeks, and if it bad and in the house I will eat it, no willpower thats me, but its all gone now, so hoping for a loss next week!

p.s of to the market tomorrow to stock up on all good things!Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis) since 1996 (quite possibly Crohn's Disease).0 -
:mad:I'm sad to say the last 3 weigh ins I have gained as follows
09/09 I did lose 1 1/2lb's
16/09 1.5lb's
23/09 0.5lb's
30/09 0.5lb's
I have had a really good week this last week before WI, lots of healthy home made soups for lunch. But I have had mostly green days and been eating a lot of past/noodles/potatoes, I think because I suffer from PCOS I need to have more red days but find that meat is so expensive for decent stuff. Since I started SW in April my weight loss comes in peaks and troughs, sometimes I am a bit naughty and lose 21/2 lb's(the most I've ever lost, even more than 1st week), then others like last week I'm really good and put on. My sis suggested some gains could be due to "star week", but don't have "star week" as such coz of contrcaeptive pill taken.
Please, please can some one give me a shake, I actually burst in to tears when OH asked how I got on at WI, and sis jokingly said "you must be eating in secret" quite gutted that she would even suggest this even in jest.
Sorry for the rant just needed to get it off my chest and I am right back to plan.
Well done ALV, did you feel hungry when you done FF, if so how'd you cope? Well done everyone else too!:j
Cheers

Hi Skint_Catt, I will start posting my food diary even just for the next week as long as nobody minds? I've already started writing it down on paper today.
My SW consultant is not the best, she wasn't even there on Tues evening we just done a weigh and go(no charge) but it was one of the class members thats only been coming to class for a matter of weeks(as far as I know and I suspect that she works beside consultant at her day job), that done the weighing. Anytime I have a gain consulant asks the same questions what have you done? my answer been out for meal(once) her reply is usually "well you must have done something else, it doesn't go on that quickly", it's really hurtful because I wouldn't lie about being bad also the one time when I lost 2 1/2 lb's she asked what I had changed that week, my answer was nothing, I had french baguette with butter, crips, cooked chicken, a tonne of cheese, numerous Vodkas and genrally been overall quite bad and she could't give me answer as to why I had better loss taht particular week. I'm going to have to go to a new class during the day as I'm starting new job in evening soon, so hopefully this will give me more motivation to keep going.
Sorry again for long post but it's helped me getting off my chest with people that understand amd are in the same boat.
Cheers

bringmeshoes- I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Looking after yourself is doubly important if you have to help look after someone else too, so please make sure you eat properly.
Really Sorry about that, not a good start when joining a new board.
I can't find my post so it must have been removed.
Sorry:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -
First night out on Friday, since starting the plan. I have the menu and thought I would go for a red day.
Shrimp & Chicken Kebabs with a tequila & lime dressing and chargrilled peppers.
Then the sirloin steak with red wine jus, baby onions and chunky chips. I thought I would be able to just have a couple of chips and leave the rest.
No desert and then I thought instead of drinking my usual red wine I would have vodka and diet coke.
Everything else looks like it has too many syns.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks

Hi there
Fast Forward is different to the normal plan - you have to get a booklet from your SW consultant (if you attend a class), and there's no 'free' foods in the usual sense, you have a number of points that you use to choose three meals each day from the booklet. The points are based on your current weight so vary from person to person.
thanks lois explaining the FF plan to me i don't attend a class at the moment so using my old book which is prob about 4 years old now.
i'm thinking about joining a class, but moneys a bit tight at the mo (coming back from hols/sons 21st) thing should be better next month so if i'm still struggling to lose i prob take the plunge!!!!joined sw on 22/10/08lost 3 stonere-joined 8/1/12need to lose 2 stones:eek:4lbs:j0 -
Hi Missty, no-one minds you posting your food - we're all here to help after all! (I started to post mine). My consultants not the best either though she is always there, just too busy with everyone else to grab her to talk to. I'd love to sit down with her and ask her why its not working. I might go back to my very first consultant in my old town one night, because she generally made time for everyone, and I sued to do the shop for her, so she might help me. I want to stick with SW so badly as it's ingrained in me AND I know it works, but there's something wrong this time (I'm even wondering about the new pill I'm on.....)
Keep at it, as I've said, I know SW DOES work if you stick with it 100%
Ilovemoneysaving - I'd got for the steak and ask for it without the jus. Have a few chips (hey thats ewhat flexi syns are for!) and def go for the vodka instead of the wine and get them to fill the glass to the top with Diet Coke (otherwise you'll drink more because they're 'small' drinks) Enjoy your night! :j
