Can anyone tell me the nicest, fruitiest, non-driest scanbran/ryvitas etc which are a HEb please? I don't normally like things like that but I'd like to try them, maybe with my HEa of Laughing cow

The Ryvita Muesli Crunch are really lovely - don't need anything on them and are as nice as a biscuit. You can have 2 as a HEB
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Thanks C31 - might try them though 2 isn't many for a HEb. i'd rather have two slices of Nimble!

Maintained today and although I'm happy I haven't gained (continuing the Maintain or Lose every week until Xmas challenge - 92 days to go) I'm disappointed as I can't see why I haven't lost. Oh well. Gonna celebrate with a glass of wine (or two) tonight as all I've had all day is a fruit salad with natural yoghurt!

My SW class was cancelled tonight, but according to my own scales I've lost a 1lb, so I'm happy about that. I'm nowhere near my target of 7lbs a month even though I've been sticking to the plan 100%, but I know what I need to do - more exercise. OH and I were out walking for an hour tonight, and we're going to keep doing that as often as we can, as well as cycling at the weekends. Got a holiday coming up, 2 weeks in Cyprus, but it's not going to be a case of putting the diet on hold while we're away, we're both going to eat and drink sensibly and get some exercise every day too. I'd really like to come back and have lost weight - that would be the first time ever!

Well done for not breaking the lose or maintain every week until Christmas campaign! Are you sure you're eating enough though? I know we're all brainwashed to believe that starving ourselves will result in great weight loss, but that isn't how SW works. :naughty: You need your healthy extras, and enough food to satisfy your appetite. ;)

    Enjoy the wine - cheers!

Thanks Lois Lane, yes I'm eating LOADS!

It's only Tuesdays I don't have lunch - either cause I'm too busy at work or because I don't want to risk gaining because of what I've got in my stomach! My mum made me a fab fruit salad on Sunday for the week-but I've eaten loads of it already and its the perfect brekkie!

hi everyone, didn't make it onto the pc last night, but went to WI and gained half a pound last night. Its the first time ive put on since I started going and its the most dreadful feeling in the world :(

I know its only half a pound and I should get it back, but having to sit there and explain it, I never want to do that again! The only thing I can put it down to is Tunes as I had a huge cold last week and they were the only thing I could have to make me breathe again, but I know they are really high in syns. Hopefully will get back on track this week, its made me more determined than ever to lose this weight. So far today I've had 1 syn (tablespoon of extra light salad cream) and hoping thats how its gonna stay!

    hello
i dont know how long you have been doing slimming world but you shouldnt be too hard on yourself. A half pound is not much and could simply be that you still had your lunch inside you. Also if you prefer green days to red then green items take longer to work through your system and you need more fluid to assist it. Also some member puts on up to half a stone when its their star week.

It sounds like you are doing fab so I think you deserve a bit pat on the back. Its good to be economical with your syns and I wish I had your willpower but dont be too hard on yourself and make sure you enjoy the odd treat now and again.

Well I have been and weighed in and I also stayed to image therapy. The damage was 2 1/2 pounds!!!! Compared to my lowest weigh in at SW, i have put on half a stone and its GOT TO GO!!! I was honest with my consultant (I had planned on lying - saying that I had had a stinking cold and had therefore been eating rubbish all week but I couldnt bring myself too!!!) I explained that since i got my 1 1/2 stone award, I had struggled since then and also struggled at weekends. I said that if i didnt have a completely straight week with no meals out etc, it would all go pear shaped. I feel much better for it.

Today is the turning point though and although I am sat here with my bottle of becks and my glass of red wine (i kid you not!) I am 110% back on the plan from tomorrow. Ive binned the jacobs crackers I had on my kitchen side (did I mention I had a snack of crackers and cheese before class :rotfl:) and all the chocolate on my kitchen side has been hidden in the cupboard with strict instructions given to my OH to eat it asap.

Im taking the chocolate items he doesnt like into work and am even thinking of having my own freezer draw and space in one of the cupboards for my SW food.

Ive taken some red berry fruit out of the freezer which Im planning on having for breakfast with onken fat free strawberry yogurt. Although ive got Mr T coming tomorrow, im probably going to stick to my green day and have beans for lunch and jacket chips for tea.

Have a great week everyone :D

I have most of the SW cookbooks and have noted the many soup recipes. They all seem like too much hard work but I was wondering if I bought a hand blender whether this would enable me to puree the soup as the receipe often suggests rather than faff around getting my proper blender out. I really cannot be bothered with all the mess and washing up and thought a hand blender would be a useful addition to my kitchen?

Flat Eric - don't forget all the faff may be worth it if you make 2/3 times the quantity and then freeze for quick easy meals at a later date! I'd love any type of blender, but don't have the cash or the space for one!
  • :happyloveI LOVE my hand blender  :happyhear :heartpuls :happyhear :kisses:

Hubby bought me one years ago (when DD was born) for (insert big bucks here) and I can honestly say that it would be the one 'gadget' I would rescue from my kitchen if it was burning down. :j I use it, probably, every other day.

You can get them really cheaply (this one is £4.39, and they have several at 6.99)

but obviously I have no idea if the extra is worth it - I would imagine the basic ones work just fine though :money: You could always ask over on Old-style for a recommendation......;)
