So I weighed myself at Boots. I closed my eyes, held my breathe and imagined myself light as a feather and slim!:p
Then I opened my eyes and it said 13st 3lb 2oz. I thought ARGH  I have put on 2lb. How, why, OMG you fat moo!
Then I slapped myself out of that self distructive behaviourand realised that I was fully clothed in jeans, t shirt, hooded sweat shirt. I had taken off my coat, scarf and shoes.
Jeans weigh a lot, so does my hooded sweat shirt but either way I am not going to beat myself up about a gain or staying the same. A mechanical instrument is not going to dictate my feeling of self worth or influence my mood.
So turning to positive...- before I stepped on the scales I was feeling better about myself
- my jeans kept falling down on the way there (even with a belt on and I'm 3 notches down on what I was in Jan)
- my stomach was not so distended (I don't get mistaken for a pregnant lady)
- my trio of chins have been served notice (one has already moved out)
Starting weight: 13st 6lb 8 oz
Current Weight: 13st 4st 2oz :j
Weight loss to date: 2lb 6oz :T0 -

Wel guys I am having my first ever red day today. For brekkie I had scrambled egg, Quorn sausage, bacon and some tinned toms....I now have a bad tummy:cool: do you think this is because my digestive system has got used to not eating meat and having mainly carb based meals?? On the plus side it has sorted out the bunged up feeling:o .
Be good everyone:A

As mentioned in an earlier post, I have bought too many sweet potatoes! Thank you for all your suggestions on how best to use them up. I also found this on the web and I am shocked at some of the ingredients! How do you think I could make this SW friendly i.e. no SYNS. I quite like the idea of the sugar however - how many syns is 25g brown sugar?
I am a bit dim when it comes to cooking - would I need to parboil the sweet potatoes first before roasting or simply chop up and chuck in the oven?
Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes
INGREDIENTS- 60 ml vegetable oil
- 910 g sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 25 g brown sugar
- 2 g ground cinnamon
- 5 g salt
- 1 g freshly ground pepper
- 15 ml fresh lime juice (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Pour the oil into a 9x13 inch baking dish, and place in the oven until hot, about 5 minutes.
- Add potatoes to the oiled dish, and bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, turning after 10 minutes. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- After the 20 minutes is up, remove the potatoes from the oven, and sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture. Stir to coat. Return to the oven, and roast for another 10 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and golden brown. Stir potatoes as necessary to allow them to brown evenly.
- Remove potatoes to paper towels to drain, then transfer to a serving dish, and sprinkle with lime juice.
