Hi - just checked on the SW website and Tesco Finest Moroccan Style Couscous salad - 225g pack is 2.5 Syns on Green or 15 Syns on Original. Hope this helps.0 -
I've been doing body magic and it as helped me. I keep a fit log and just received my bronze award,(sad, or what) another sticker to help fill my book! I love that moroccan couscous. Might have to get some now I know it is low syn!
Body magic is basically exercise, right? I try to swim twice a week between work and the school run, and DD and I have started playing badminton for an hour each week. The tennis club near us are starting a course for people that haven't played for years in November, so I might do that, as I haven't played since school, but I did like it. Thinking about karate too, but that's Saturday mornings and I'm loathe to mess up my weekends. There is tae kwon do during the week, but that doesn't appeal as much as karate, for some reason. The tennis is Sunday mornings, but we tend to do more on Saturdays than Sundays, so that doesn't bother me as much.
Was planning to do my first red day today, but had green day quiche in the fridge that wasn't going to keep much longer, so I've had that instead. Totally free brekkie of fruit and Mullerlight.
Off to get the first part of DD's birthday pressie now - she is getting a hamster, so we are off for food and bedding, and to see how the cage prices compare with the online ones.0 -

Well i did it- i finally went to my group today- got weighed! Was amazed that my scales are in actual fact out by half a stone (in a bad way!) So i have started today- went shopping straight after group and i have been really good today!Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!0

1. Couscous itself doesn't have much of a flavour, but you can add things like spices and roast vegetables to improve it - I love it. The ready made couscous salads you get from the supermarkets often have oil in them, however if you buy packets of dried couscous, they are free on green. Two products that are very good are Ainsley Harriet's and Sammy's, which are widely available. Supermarkets have similar products under their own brand.
2. Yes - when SW first started they only did 'red' days, which is why they call them original - that was the original plan. They introduced green days mainly for vegetarians, who couldn't do red days, and either green or original days will work.

1. Couscous in itself doesn't taste of anything much, in the same way as rice and pasta don't taste of much by themselves. It's what you put with it that makes it nice - the moroccan couscous is quite spicy with peppers and cucumber and chickpeas and stuff in it.
2. Yes, you would. I've heard that you lose faster on original days, but not sure if that's true. And if you think about it, vegetarians will always do green days, as they won't have the meat/fish at all. I really struggle to do red days, as eating lots of meat doesn't come naturally to me at all - I have a little, but not much, and am a total carb addict!0 -

i been reading through the thread afternoon and you have given me inspiration to get out my old sw book.last time i did sw i lost 2st but put the weight back on. i going to try to do it on my own at home for a few weeks and see how i get on.(with the help from you guys) hope to be back in my size 12 jeans for christmasjoined sw on 22/10/08lost 3 stonere-joined 8/1/12need to lose 2 stones:eek:4lbs:j0
